What should we focus on next?
MindMup is community driven, so we’ll work on what our users want the most. For best results, please:
- Formulate ideas as work objectives (explain why, not just what/how). For example, ‘collaborate with friends remotely’ is much better than asking for ‘google realtime v2.0 integration’
- Do not submit stuff anonymously. We want to discuss your proposal with you if it gets votes, and anonymous submissions don’t allow us to do that. Ideas submitted anonymously will most likely be closed.

I'd like to store my mindmaps in owncloud
... so I mindmaps could be easily shared without having to trust a third party provider like amazon.

MindMup app available on Android devices
With Mindmup on Andriod, I would be able to create mindmaps on the go
328 votesUnfortunately, we decided not to build the mobile app (and even to retire the iphone version). MindMup 2 should work well on mobile devices now, including Chrome on Android, and we don’t have the resources to build and maintain a separate app at this point.

Show more than 10 saved maps in menu. OR allow nested submenus of saved maps
I can only see 10 of my maps then they are not accessible unless I delete another map. Please make this a priority as I do not want to delete any of my maps.
18 votesjust use bookmarks in your browser, each map is a unique URL. the list only shows the most recent ones, but you can bookmark the others easily in your browser

Require Android app
More than chrome support on android, feel more comfortable with android apps.
16 votesHi,
I propose we consolidate this with other mobile device ideas, so that it can get a significant number of votes. An Android app is not realistic for the near future. Instead, I propose we do a better interface on mobile devices in general. For that, I’ve opened another idea. Please vote on that if that seems sensible and important for you.

Turn on autosave by default
Turn on autosave by default, as it is expected from online doc
12 votesTo use fully functional autosave without having to turn anything on, just switch to using MindMup Cloud storage and do not use Google Drive to save maps any more. That is the only safe option we can offer currently.
The access level Google Drive allows third party apps (such as MindMup) makes autosave dangerous in many scenarios, as it might lead to data loss. This is why we require that users specifically turn it on. We know this is far from ideal, but unfortunately this is due to how Google decided to change their APIs for third party developers. If they offer a way to perform safe auto-save in the future, we will of course activate it.

Shourtcouts for states
I would like to have shortcuts for states, for example: I have my MindMup, I select a node and I want to put the state: in progress... to make it easier and faster --> ctrl + 1

Partition large mindmaps
I have a large mindmap with a central topic with 6 subtopics. Each subtopic could somehow be made into its own mindmap, maybe through a zooming-in like feature. Another way to implement this is to make each subtopic into its own main topic in the zoomed-in view.
WHY: So you have a big topic, and then you can zoom into each sub-topic.
[I think maybe this feature is mainly a student thing, because I am revising for a big exam on a particular topic which has several subtopics, so if I'm revising a particular subtopic in one session, I can…

Show "add child" on mobile view
mindmup's interface on tablet/phone is really slow as it is right now. I think the toolbar should have a direct button for at least "add child". another way to do this would be to add the buttons dynamically depending on how much space is available on the toolbar. a final third way to do it would be to have a "+" button next to the currently selected node, which is how "simplemind for android" does it: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.modelmakertools.simplemindfree&hl=en
6 votesMindMup for iOS devices is now available for general use – we’re taking the Beta marker off, because we finally ensured that users of the mobile app are as productive as when using the desktop app.

Freemind XML interface for seamless integration of third-party applications
It would be great to make it possible to integrate business websites with mindmup by using the freemind XML format, without having to save it first to google drive.
For example we have a website where we have to manage the taxonomy in a mind map structure. We now manage this mind map in freemind It would be great to pass the mind map to mindmup to support editing mind maps in a web browser instead of installing an offline application.
6 votesI’m closing this one as there was no response to the questions. If there is a particular thing you’d like to do which is not currently supported with freemind export/import, please re-submit the idea by explaining what else you’d like to do….

GitLab support to store Mindmup same as that of GitHub
Please provide the extension to store Mindmup maps under GitLab application
Thanks.

RETIREM!!!!!!!!!!!! o auto-corretor
6 votesMindMup is not changing your content, but you most likely have some third party module that causes translation (for example, using Google Translate through the browser). Turn that off, and things will show correctly.

Allow us to use a custom backend, for data saving, authentication and collaboration.
This is related to "Save data on myown cloud" ticket. I wish to
* Host mindmup code on myserver ( This is feasible now)
* use my own authentication ( Using REST API)
* save data into myown could ( accessed via REST API )
* Make extension collaboration enabled by default ( As I host it, I can)
* Make my own collaboration using REST API/ Websockets instead of google realtime APIs5 votesyou can do this now, if you’re capable of building a rest api for yourself, then there’s no reason why you should not be able to fork mindmup and build an extension – just see what google collab extension does. mindmup is opensource for this very reason.

Export a map in several PDF pages
I use the PDF export to print a map to study it. Sometimes, a map is too big to print it in a single page.
I'd like to mark some nodes to print collapsed in the page with its parent's map. That nodes will be expanded in another page.
The collapsed nodes could show the page number of its expanded map.5 votesyou can already print a map on multiple pages. check out http://blog.mindmup.com/p/how-to-print-large-maps.html

I would like to be able to create independent nodes
I would like to create independent nodes (nodes not attached to the main one or to another one connected to the main one). This way I can add things related to the main graph but that do not have the same kind of connection as the other nodes, for example some sort of legend or something like that.
Thank you!
4 votesfor status legends, see http://blog.mindmup.com/p/monitoring-progress.html – this is already done. if that doesn’t do the trick, let us know what’s missing
