What should we focus on next?
MindMup is community driven, so we’ll work on what our users want the most. For best results, please:
- Formulate ideas as work objectives (explain why, not just what/how). For example, ‘collaborate with friends remotely’ is much better than asking for ‘google realtime v2.0 integration’
- Do not submit stuff anonymously. We want to discuss your proposal with you if it gets votes, and anonymous submissions don’t allow us to do that. Ideas submitted anonymously will most likely be closed.

6 votesMindMup is not changing your content, but you most likely have some third party module that causes translation (for example, using Google Translate through the browser). Turn that off, and things will show correctly.

Turn on autosave by default
Turn on autosave by default, as it is expected from online doc
12 votesTo use fully functional autosave without having to turn anything on, just switch to using MindMup Cloud storage and do not use Google Drive to save maps any more. That is the only safe option we can offer currently.
The access level Google Drive allows third party apps (such as MindMup) makes autosave dangerous in many scenarios, as it might lead to data loss. This is why we require that users specifically turn it on. We know this is far from ideal, but unfortunately this is due to how Google decided to change their APIs for third party developers. If they offer a way to perform safe auto-save in the future, we will of course activate it.

Mindmup keeps logging me out and keeps prompting me to re-authenticate
Mindmup keeps logging me out and keeps prompting me to re-authenticate my Google account credentials, which will need to be contained. Should NOT be prompted to login to the application unless I change my user credentials.
1 votethis is outside of our control — it’s google that’s asking you to reauthenticate, not mindmup.
some common reasons why you might be asked to reauthenticate is that your browser is prevented from storing 3rd party authentication credentials (when you sign in to mindmup via google, your browser thinks google is a third party), or you have some content blockers turned on that prevent the credentials from being stored (eg misconfigured privacy or ad blockers).

When user types an idea gets a list of other ideas. Fine.

Man who turns a page and browses all the ideas?
Should I be a gardener as well to contribute ;-) ?I'd like to avoid struggling between duplicate ideas having possibly valuable user votes, goals, contribution, commitment.

I would like a "save as" function like every other document in history. ive spent 30 minutes wasting my time for the most basic function.
how about if you start with basic functions like "save as". The move to folder folder gives a screenshot and opens without previous info. No "save" or "save as" lol joke. waist of my time.

Missing the old text-input color picker!
There seems to be less colors auto-suggested when picking colors with text-input (shit + space) in mindmup 2.0.
I gotta admit I don't remember all the names of the colors I liked to use. The old auto-suggest feature made picking colors with the keyboard surprisingly effective, and I would love to see it back.

Export a map in several PDF pages
I use the PDF export to print a map to study it. Sometimes, a map is too big to print it in a single page.
I'd like to mark some nodes to print collapsed in the page with its parent's map. That nodes will be expanded in another page.

The ability to open and edit Mindmup version 2 in the iOS app
As far as I can tell, mind maps created in Mindmup 2.0 can't be opened and edited on the iOS app. The ability to do this would be amazing, as then the mind maps could be edited either on a computer or mobile device, whilst having the advantage of the better function in version 2.0.
I understand that the iOS app wouldn't have all the functions as the computer one, but at least it should be editable.3 votesthe ios app is designed for offline work. drive 2.0 app uses realtime collaboration, which only works online. you should be able to use https://drive.mindmup.com from your iOS Safari and work on the 2.0 maps on a mobile device, we’ve optimised the site to work well on touch interfaces.
You can open a 2.0 map in the app offline by exporting it (File→Download As→MindMup) and then save it to your iCloud or Drive storage. This will not support collaboration, though

Map corruption
Hi,
It is not a new idea, but a feedback. It is the matter of mindmup 2.0. Today I opened my maps and they were corrupted. I don't know why. Is it because of some bug or a security issue? It happened in all my google accounts. It looks like some 3rd person played with my maps and didn't take care to bring them to the original state. Not only map structure was changed, but also colors.

Attach Google Drive FOLDERS instead of files
Attach an entire folder to a node because some nodes may require the user to attach a folder with multiple files like spreadsheets, presentations and documents.
3 votesthis won’t work that well with the existing attachment idea, but you can already do it just by pasting the link to the folder into the node — it will create a clickable link to the folder web page.
