I'm a bit late to the ballgame and have found that the mindmup legacy google-chrome extension is no longer available in 2017. Working offline for notes and research organization is immensely helpful on-the-go between meetings and classes.

Can either the original legacy mindmup offline chrome extension be reinstated for use with local files or a mindmup 2 desktop chrome extension be made available?

At least like v1 of mindmup. If not at least allow us to use v1 version as Gold Users.

Assign a mindmap project to students. At any point in time I can see realtime what they are doing and I can communicate with them and comment on their map without having to click on their map and wait for it to open up one by one. This is a current feature on Mindomo. Very Slick

When hovering over a node the attached note instantly appears. This can be a set size of x characters and x number of lines. Right next to the mouse position there is an arrow or radio button or similar icon, that if hovered over, displays the rest of the note. The arrow or radio button would only appear near the mouse position if the note was large enough to warrant further exposure.

When you search or set "Colour name or hex" search just applies it.
It would be great to PREVIEW the color first once you input it but not applied yet.

If I move a node to the left (or right) of the subtree above it, place it parallel to that subtree and farther to the left (or right). If there is no node above, use the node below. Or better, if I slide it parallel either above or below, follow that motion and place it there such that no lines connecting to a common parent are obscured.

I have a pretty big map but there are some nodes that are very far apart, even when I zoom all the way out. Is there a way to consolidate or shrink the white space between multiple nodes to get them at least as close as possible? This way, it's a roughed in layout and I can tweak for easier reading.

Add the option to add colored number icons (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) from the icon screen. This is an easy way to dress up the mindmap while using a numbering scheme

It would be extremely helpful to have various design templates to choose from when starting OR after completion of the map. Offer various shapes like an upward pitchfork, downward pitchfork, 3, E, spider, circle, etc. similar to Mindomo. You can change the shape as often as you want and go back to your original at any point.

Now I'm in a big map wanting to change all blue nodes to a different collor.. Too much of a pain without a color replacement feature. See in Adobe Illustrator, thay have it.

When different people work on standard google doc documents, it is possible to see the last changes and document history and to restore previous document versions. It makes collaboration easier because changes are easy to see and safer because old versions can be restored and no information is lost.

I suggest that same functionality becomes available in mindmup.

Allow users to add a reminder or a date to a node, which will pop up on this date or is visible in a list or will send a reminder via e-mail.

Be able to make a node a hyperlink without having to have the URL as the node's text.

This is daft.
Once I got the link by pasting in the url as the text I was hoping I'd be able to change the displayed text while keeping the link, but as soon as I make the node text what I want to display the link is gone.

I don't get why you have the functionality there to make a node a clickable link but then don't let us use it directly

I would like to be able to scale a node, either directly, or by assigning a style to it (as in MS Word's Heading 1, Heading 2, ... type 'styles').

I would like this so that some nodes are larger & have bigger text than others to highlight their importance.

Yes you could do that with colour, but the significance would need to be looked up in a key as colour is not as intrinsic an indicator of importance in a diagram as size is.

An option to reposition the map center is missing. as maps grow bigger the map center sometimes migrates to very strange places which are very far from any node, which ruins the map ratio and makes the published maps totally unacceible.

Make an app for the iPhone.

Looking to change the color of the actual background of a map, not any of the styling related to nodes, lines, etc. Just the background.

Currently, remote file format conversion (namely, to PDF) results 'secure' URL. However, an URL is easy to leak when you paste it to wrong place and not secure enough. As Mindmup has permission to create its own file to Google Drive (if I understand correctly) it should be able to push the converted PDF file directly (or indirectly via the browser) to Google Drive. It's much more secure.
