It would be very useful to use tags in order to reorganize the map on tags14 votes
Mindmup's Google drive and realtime API based collaboration are two fundamental "killer" features, without them the product loses out very substantially to competitors.
Google will pull the realtime API November 2018, after this time those documents and features will likely stop working.
It's essential (imho) to the future of Mindmup that effort should be put in now to ensure this does not affect user's existing work (it still loads after this time without any changes/conversion) and that those same app features are available after the API is withdrawn.23 votes
We have some more clarity on this now, and we published our current plan to
Is Mindmup a sensible, professional platform, or should we look elsewhere?
Just saying "doh" isn't good enough, clear recovery instructions to prevent data loss - and better still stopping / ensuring recovery automatically are what is needed.
Imagine Google's share price if they started to show a Patrick Stewart gif in response to temporary errors or made so little effort to ensue important information is recoverable.
This has showed up at work on our very stable internet connection, while I'm capturing notes in a meeting, I won't make that mistake again.6 votes
our support will contact you by e-mail so we could troubleshoot this. In the future, please get in touch directly with firstname.lastname@example.org if you need assistance.
Onenote is starting to support various embedded media:
Would be killer if you could embed mindmups in onenote since that's what we use for most of our work notes and communications. Great if you could see it right there, natively in onenote rather than having to open a browser.9 votes
Sincerely, we need an app for offline situations, in some countries, as Spain, we still don't hace a whole territorial network supply.5 votes
It would be great to be able to sort child nodes, especially alphabetically. Any way we could add that as a feature?7 votes
I would like to have a translation into Norwegian. May offer my assistance.1 vote
thanks for offering to help. we decided not to introduce any translations until we have the capacity to actually provide user support in other languages, so this might take a while, but we will get in touch when we can take on such work.
It's good practice to have a local backup of one's data. One can now download maps one by one, but this is time-consuming if you have many maps. It would be great to be able to download *all* of one's maps at once to one's local machine (for example, as a .zip archive of .mup files).5 votes
rename it to abc....z
the map name renames too automaticall
you have to do it in the uppper left1 vote
with gold storage we have no the physical file on local disk, I'd like to have a button on the toolbar or even a key-shortcut to do that
file> save >mindmup> download> close the popup msg1 vote
Please include a box or border lines which can be drawn around multiples nodes along with text to indicate common features of those nodes. A closing curly braces "}text" can also be used of this purpose1 vote
I wanted to report that sometimes auto-save feature is giving lot of problem.
Because of some technical reason the auto-save would not work even if internet connection is there or is lost and then later restored. It keep trying to save and user doesn't have any option and fear about losing data, even if I download the file restoring that is not easy and clear.
Earlier feature about off-line working was easy where it use to check and ask that local content in changed and do I want to save the changes.
I just discover your software today. It took me a while to discover than the standard keyboard shortcuts for copy, cut & paste are working in this app.
I thought about strategy for importing the map with the cutted piece into the other map, .... as workaround before discovering it was working with shortcuts .
Don't loose customers for that... It should not take you more than 5 min.1 vote
Using Measurement feature, I’d like to have a map always related to cells10 votes
It would be great if we can select an icon from iconset (maybe FontAwesome or Glyphicons or whatever). This icon can be appear like a text, inside the Node. You can identify rapidly Nodes when you have huge nodes.5 votes
It would be great to be able to add hashtags to nodes. For example if the map is very big and it includes somethings that fit in a different parts of the map. Then it would be great to add hashtag to a node and by clicking it shows where to find additional information about the subject.11 votes
It would be great to introduce the following:
- left- or right-align text, it's centered be defualt now
- format text to bold or italics
- save custom formats for boxes and text and apply to other boxes with text (like copying and applying text format in MS Word)36 votes
Reasoning usually includes arguments and explanations. Being able to denote a brace as one or the other would be useful for argument visualization0 votes
Often in my maps I have both links and notes at each node. I've found that when publishing to Atlas, users may accidentally click on the link icon when they meant to click on a note icon, and vice versa.
Currently, both icons are located in the top right corner of the node. Would it be possible to adjust this, such that the link icon is say in the top right, and the note icon on the bottom right? This would avoid accidental click-through issues1 vote
