What should we focus on next?
MindMup is community driven, so we’ll work on what our users want the most. For best results, please:
- Formulate ideas as work objectives (explain why, not just what/how). For example, ‘collaborate with friends remotely’ is much better than asking for ‘google realtime v2.0 integration’
- Do not submit stuff anonymously. We want to discuss your proposal with you if it gets votes, and anonymous submissions don’t allow us to do that. Ideas submitted anonymously will most likely be closed.

Export to graphviz
This looks like a trivial task to implement but could help with more exporting options: SVG, LaTeX etc.
5 votesyou can now export to SVG in MindMup 2.0, just use File→Download as→Image and choose SVG as the format

Identifier for each node/box
Many a times the way we collaborate is that one person is showing the mind map by sharing his/her screen and others are watching it. OR
The collaboration/discussion happens over email. If somebody has a comment on one of the boxes then it'll help if each box/node has an id. So it becomes easier to refer to it.
5 voteseach node already has a technical ID, so it woudln’t be difficult to reuse that, but how do you see working from the user interface? what would you expect to turn on/off or show?

Recenter/zoom in feature
The ability to create a new map for a chosen subtree or possibly just a new view of a map centered around the chosen subtree and tuning out all the rest would be tremendously helpful in big maps.

Grouping
Ability to group a sub tree or selected nodes and the ability to connect this group to a different part of the tree. The connect only allows me to connect one unrelated node to another, putting in multiple connectors makes the map unreadable

Add my own resources
I would like to add my own resources, e.g. images or icons and to use these like the colors currently are used, i.e. with hotkeys.

Scale sections of mind map to fill areas of any selected paper size
It would be great if we could easily scale sections of a mind map in order to optimize the space of any paper size allowing the text size to be as large as possible. Right now I am ending up with wasted space and print too small to read.

Ability to have notes displayed on map downloadaed as PNG
I do not see any integration of Mindmup to JIRA.I can see it only to google drive.
The only way I can upload my test scripts to JIRA is to download it as PNG and add it to Confluence Page.
Unfortunately with current application theres is no way to download it with Notes.
Well, my first preference would be to have integration with JIRA/Confluence.
Thanks

8 1/2 by 11 page margins prevents going to far to left or right
8 1/2" - 11" page sized map margins so as a student I can print out my notes rather than one giant infinite map.

I would like to be able to access my Google Docs from the insert file. Currently it accesses my shared file which is completely useless.
Have the insert file, and then also have a Drive feature that mimics the way google allows us to access our files on Drive.

possibility that the collaborating person can only add comments (notes)
Possibility that the collaborating person can only add comments (notes) to the shared map, without being able to change the map otherwise.
Advantageous for example in collaboration with clients consulting services.5 votes -
Preview colours in "Change node background color"
When you search or set "Colour name or hex" search just applies it.
It would be great to PREVIEW the color first once you input it but not applied yet.5 votes -
Defining map center
An option to reposition the map center is missing. as maps grow bigger the map center sometimes migrates to very strange places which are very far from any node, which ruins the map ratio and makes the published maps totally unacceible.

Add default options for Responses to Objections and Questions
The reasons and objections structure is useful for mapping out arguments but is incomplete without being able to add responses to objections (which can be distinct from reasons for a position) or questions that don't amount to an objection since you have a response to them (but which might be common enough to merit attention in discussing an argument).
It would be great if there was a way to add Responses and Questions in a similar way to how reasons and objections are added, with different colour coding (perhaps blue for responses and purple for questions of similar).
The best…

expand notes
I might just be missing how to do this but is there a way to expand the notes you add to a node so they are visible on the mind map. For example, to study different pharmacological therapies I would write the medication as a child node and then write addtl notes. It would be a great study tool to have one map with all of the different notes visible under each node (parent/child/sibling) and have another map with just the nodes visible (to practice filling in the information that was in the notes). Thanks!

[Google Docs Add-on to export] OR [Mindmup command to import] table of contents to a node in a new or existing map
Create a nodes structure from a Google Docs table of contents into a node in a new or existing map.
I would love to create a Master Map out of multiple documents based on their respective table of contents structure.5 votes
