What should we focus on next?
MindMup is community driven, so we’ll work on what our users want the most. For best results, please:
- Formulate ideas as work objectives (explain why, not just what/how). For example, ‘collaborate with friends remotely’ is much better than asking for ‘google realtime v2.0 integration’
- Do not submit stuff anonymously. We want to discuss your proposal with you if it gets votes, and anonymous submissions don’t allow us to do that. Ideas submitted anonymously will most likely be closed.

Compatibility with Grammarly
I love the new notes functionality in Mindmup 2.0! Recently I've been using the Grammarly Chrome plugin for checking my spelling and grammar, unfortunately it doesn't seem to work with notes in MindMup, it will recommend changes but by clicking into Grammarly it deactivates the notes window so any changes through Grammarly are instantly lost. This isn't a major bugbear, but it does make writing long text sections less convenient.

Make Mindmup 2.0 work with "Make a copy to each student" in Google Classroom.
Today Mindmup 2.0 doesn't work with the function of making a copy to each student in an assignment in google classroom. The old version works since it is a file that is copied, but 2.0 isn't a file (but a link to Mindmups own cloud?).

Expand and collapse parents as well as children
This would make it much easier to work on one branch.

A Group Function for a set of Children
A Group Function for a set of Children which can become a parent. Secondary function 1: stack children or display freely within the Group circle. Secondary function 2: resize the Group Circle. It may be easier from a developers POV to have the user create the group - as a child - then permit insertion of children within the group.

Is it possible to allow for mathematical symbols and chemical formulas in mindmup? (preferably in the older version). There is a mind mapping tool called "examtime" that has this feature

Link a Dropbox file to a node, e.g. a Word file or a Powerpoint file that will open when clicked on in the node.

Unfold other related nodes by handmade connections
Conections to hidden (while folded) nodes disappear. That's pretty cool.
When I want to see every relation to this node, it would be great to unfold every tree to the related nodes to show the connection lines.

Freer movement of parents and chidlren
At the moment you are very limited in where you can place Parents and Children-Perhaps introduce a "free" mode where you can place the Parents and Children wherever you want without everything automatically altering

Node Attachment View
I already commented on some other idea in this forum with this, but I think this is really important. Many mind mapping tools are using so called notes view (node attachment in mindmup), but they are all doing it wrong. Maybe you think this is a bold statement, but with 15+ years of mindmapping experience I can assure you that notes (mindmup attachments) are integral part of any mindmapping/writing creative process. Having the possibility to Copy and Paste detached images instead of browsing
The current problem is that we have to browse images from our folders and attach the images to nodes. I would like to be able to Copy and Paste images from Google onto a random place on the mind map. This will be more easier because we wouldn't have to adjust the size of the image and we will e able to freely move them around the mind map.

Smart Layout
It would be great to have choices in how the mindmap is laid out. The vertical orientation of the current mind map makes it difficult to see the "whole map" if you are sharing it in a web meeting for insights (i.e., online retrospective). This could be accomplished by some of the other suggestions such as "emphasizing major nodes" and the current collapse/expand subtree feature.

Ability to place Text Box on the Map
Have the ability to place text box's anywhere on the map. For example, I color code nodes and would be nice to be able to place a legend on the map for others to understand what the colors mean.

Calendar plugin that allows users to set dates to nodes
Being able to generate a basic calendar from nodes would be very nice. Ideally that calendar would be able to sync to ical and etc.
