What should we focus on next?
MindMup is community driven, so we’ll work on what our users want the most. For best results, please:
- Formulate ideas as work objectives (explain why, not just what/how). For example, ‘collaborate with friends remotely’ is much better than asking for ‘google realtime v2.0 integration’
- Do not submit stuff anonymously. We want to discuss your proposal with you if it gets votes, and anonymous submissions don’t allow us to do that. Ideas submitted anonymously will most likely be closed.

Would it be possible to have an offline mode?

Automatic setting the same colour as parent when adding a child
When adding a new node to a parent, the child should have the same colour as the parent to efficience the process when creating a structured mind map

jump to another line
I need to separate my notes in the same node. But this is not allowed at this moment. I hope that the apps can be updated later with a function that is jumping to the next line by clicking "Enter" or anything in the same node.

Put clickable weblinks into the notes sidebar
Please can you find a way to do this as there is no option at present and if you hover over the sidebar and click on the note it take you to the node. It would be great to refer to papers in Google drive or websites.

Search and replace
Please implement search and replace, maybe with to variations: in subject headers and in notes text.

Allow us to show links across trees in top down maps.
Top-down maps are great. But I would like to be able to show co-dependencies across trees.
At the moment the only way to show links between nodes in different branches of different trees is the straight-line arrow. It would be great to to be able to bring together node connections that have a different hierarchical origin.

Share map with a google group
Some companies manage team permissions through google groups. It would be great to be able to share view/edit permissions with a whole google group, and have these permissions updated as the google group changes.

Download as Storyboard in word INCLUDING hierarchical numbers
The function Download as Storyboard in word is already great! If it could include the numbers-view, so that the titels in word are already for example hierarchical defined the way we see it in mindmup, the work with mindmup would become even more effectiv. Or is it already possible and I don´t know this yet?

Default should be arrows going up
I love the new arrow function and the high-impact argument visualization. But I think the default option is that the arrows go up, not down. The arrows are supposed to indicate the direction of support. So, premise P supports a conclusion C if P gives us a reason to believe C, which means that the direction of rational support goes from the premise to the conclusion. Hence, the arrow should point from the premise to the conclusion. This is how argument mapping has traditionally been done, at least, for many years: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Argument_map

Resize all selected nodes together
UTMOST useful to select several nodes, resize them together as a group.
All the selected group would inherit the final size of the node which is being stretched.
This way the outcome is predictable, and the result is tidy.9 votes -
PLEASE make it so that free users can look back at their own maps.
I recently spent about an hour making a mind map for school. I saved it, copied the link, and turned it in. Now the link doesn't work and I can't look through my old maps and get it back. Why would I ever spend money on a website that just deletes my work?

Option to hide/reveal connections or lines between nodes in Concept maps
When a child node has several parent nodes, connecting the child node to one parent node and linking with lines to other parent nodes is the option that we are currently using. This way the map is looking little bit clumsy with many connections and lines. If there is a way to hide/reveal these lines that'll make the presentation neat and easy to understand.

Automatic argument weighing
Add an automatically calculated weight number that can be represented by either numbers or thinner/thicker lines in that each reason makes the parent argument stronger by 1 point and each objection makes it weaker by 1 point. The sum is then added to the level above and so on, up to the root. The functionality this brings is, when the root is a question, negative numbers will mean a negative answer and positive numbers will mean a positive one. It's a way to make argument maps into decision maps automatically.

Remember setting for "Label nodes for measurement"
It appears that showing measurement values on nodes is something that has to be enabled each time that a map is opened. Would be great if it could be toggled on as a property of the document so that the information was always displayed (especially to non-authors with whom the document is being shared!).
