What should we focus on next?
MindMup is community driven, so we’ll work on what our users want the most. For best results, please:
- Formulate ideas as work objectives (explain why, not just what/how). For example, ‘collaborate with friends remotely’ is much better than asking for ‘google realtime v2.0 integration’
- Do not submit stuff anonymously. We want to discuss your proposal with you if it gets votes, and anonymous submissions don’t allow us to do that. Ideas submitted anonymously will most likely be closed.

Live Link to Workflowy
You're both basically "massive outlining" utilities, fast, slick, simple - and suit the two ways we think - textually and graphically. Sometimes I want to see my outline like a mindmap, sometimes I want to see my mindmap as an outline. You two combine forces and...you could takeover the world.
1 voteyou can see the map as an outline now by exporting to HTML or text.

searching/browsing through public mind maps
WHY: since it is open source and since authors have the opportunity to share/publish, it would be nice to browse through mind maps and search for public maps
it could also inspire newbies to create new mind maps
1 voteok, so closing this after discussion. propose a directory or hashtags and we’ll get people to vote on it

keeping track of versions while collaborating
WHY: the google drive connection is great; but what if people don't have a google account (which would be stupid of course :-) ) or if a company does not allow third parties to connect with google drive (companies using google apps and applying restrictions on the use of google drive with third parties)
sharing is nice!
but: when edited by someone: it results in a new mindmap
now we have to keep on communicating on the new URL
it would be nice to have an automatic way to see new versions
also: commenting (without editing) would be a nice…1 voteok, as discussed, closing this one, try to talk to your admins and let’s see what next if that doesn’t work out.

Editing nodes should be triggered by starting to type instead of having to hit space.
Freemind does it that way and it works very efficiently.

i’m closing this one as there was no response to clarification questions. we support export to freemind and mindjet should be able to import that. if there is a particular thing that doesn’t work with that process, please re-submit that as a more specific idea.

Animate nodes
When you use a mind map as a presentation tool ,it is nice to be able to hide nodes and let them apere when you klick on them.
1 votewe’ll be building a separate presentation extension, so this isn’t going to be included in the basic view

Better presentation
There are no screenshots? Nor short video how to use/how it looks?
Unfortunately this brings users (community) as participation is also reporting BUGs & creating guides, translations etc... but these apparently are still missing....1 vote -
upload pics
add pics, videos, links into elements
1 votelinks are already supported, have a look at this:
http://blog.mindmup.com/2013/03/hyperlinks-in-nodes.htmlif this isn’t enough and you wanted to suggest something different, please let us know in more detail what you meant.
for pics etc, I suggest you vote on this one so that it can get more votes, instead of splitting the votes:
-
add labels to edges
I'd like to be able to add text labels to the edges
1 votethis is a duplicate of https://mindmup.uservoice.com/admin/forums/200447-what-should-we-focus-on-next-/suggestions/3826066-ability-to-add-information-to-the-connector-not-j
please vote on that one instead of creating a new idea, so that the votes don’t split.

Drill in
ability to have a map inside a node
1 voteyou can already do this, just grab the link to the sub-map and paste into the node in your parent map, where you want to provide drilling in from
-
Implement translation, for example by Google translate, Bing Translator Babylon or translatewiki.net
translation tool (which exists in G Drive ;-)
1 voteclosing this due to lack of response. re-submit if you want to discuss this.

Ability to draw an association link/line between one node any other node
Sometimes you want to be able to draw an association, or dependency between different nodes. Ability to draw a line between nodes linking them would help show the association/dependency.
1 voteyes, this is a duplicate. we have the thing almost working but can’t agree on how to make it work for touch devices. should be out soon
-
Better integration of spell check
When adding a note to a node, the editor recognizes spelling errors, but you can't right-click to fix the error.
1 votethis is completely in your browser, so it does not depend on us. changing the browser might help, or googling for the browser support forums.

I understand that Mindmup is zero friction, but I'd love a completely optional log-in option so that I could access my maps zero-friction from all over the world
1 voteUmar – store your maps to google drive, dropbox or github, and then you’ll be able to easily access them from any device.

You can do this with Adobe reader easily – export a map into a large size PDF and then print it tiled http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/print-posters-banners-acrobat-reader.html

A few "quality of life" improvements
Multiple parent nodes
Why: For now, you can only have one idea per map and i would like to have a few main ideas interact with one another, like making sub-maps in one main map and connect them if needed.
It's not the same as multiple top children nodes because sometimes, ideas may not depend on one another, like the children nodes depend on their parent node."Intelligent" custom connectors
Why: If possible, it should be enabled to set a side/sides of a node from where custom connectors originate as i often find it frustrating when it's not symmetrical or…
1 votei’m closing this one because it has 4 ideas in one. Stefan – all of these are already submitted by other users, and you’ll get them done faster if you vote for existing topics

Use Ace Editor for custom css styling
It should be fairly easy to add Ace editor (http://ace.c9.io/) to the textarea used for editing CSS.
