What should we focus on next?
MindMup is community driven, so we’ll work on what our users want the most. For best results, please:
- Formulate ideas as work objectives (explain why, not just what/how). For example, ‘collaborate with friends remotely’ is much better than asking for ‘google realtime v2.0 integration’
- Do not submit stuff anonymously. We want to discuss your proposal with you if it gets votes, and anonymous submissions don’t allow us to do that. Ideas submitted anonymously will most likely be closed.

Reorganize mind map by moving multiple parent nodes at the same time
Let's say I have 3 parent nodes that I want to move to a different section of the mind map. Right now, I would have to move one parent node at a time to the desired location. I would like to be able to select all 3 parent nodes and move them at the same time. You could select multiple nodes by using shift+click, and then drag them to the new location.

Third color for objections to objections
My thought processes often involve a premise which is objected. However, this objection is objected again and this second objection may be objected again and so on. It would be useful to add a third color for objections to objections because these objections to objections are not reasons for the original premise.

I would love to set default colour but the link doesn't work.

Search box as seen on learn-anything.xyz
Searching for "learning map" i stumbled upon learn-anything.xyz. They offer a very nice search box and smaller map views. For my students this would make life certainly easier.

Containers - link nodes within boxes to section different parts of the map
Containers - link nodes within boxes in order to section off and easily control different parts of the map. It also makes larger maps easier to make sense of quicker

Create map from list.
I like to have a list at the side of everything I am creating so a map can be built based on it. For example
Unit 1
a. Point a
b. Point b
Unit 2
a. Point a
b. point cand then have the option to visualized the list on a map. and move point c to unit 1. working on a list but having to option to visualized it in a map it's a tool I have not seen in most mindmapping software.

Tooltip for notes. Show the notes in tooltip window on mouse hover.
To quickly go through added notes without opening in the huge sidebar window is very handy.

Support emojis in print / image export
Emojis are a really convenient way to annotate and categorise items in a mindmap (Freemind has similar functionality). Unfortunately, something in the export to image/PDF process converts emojis to tofu (they do survive the export to an outline in Word format, but that loses all the mappiness).
For instance the chilli emoji, 🌶, doesn't survive.
Thanks!

Moving connected root nodes together
While child nodes can be moved with their root nodes, I cannot move root nodes thogether when they are connected by arrows (not by just lines). In our classroom we give students a template of unconnected root nodes, and ask them to connect them logically using arrows that point from the causes towards the consequences. Unfortunately, the arrow connection only exist between root nodes. If I drag one root node into another one, then I can create a child node, but the connection is not an arrow. It is important to use the arrows to demonstrate the flow on the…

Delete node out of the branch, while keeping rest of branch
I would like functionality to: Delete node out of the branch, while keeping rest of branch.
Now there is only funcionallity to delete a node, and all nodes after it.
I want to be able to quickly delete one node out of the branch, and keeping the rest of the branch.
If I have A -> B -> C -> D
And I do: "Delete only node out of the branch" on B, then I keep:
A -> C -> DAnd I want to be able to do this quickly with a shortcut, like Alt + Del and Alt…

Being able to use hotlinks as nodetext
I know that "notes" are a thing, but that is a very supoptimal solution.
Instead being able to simply click nodes to bring up the link directly whould be great. Maybe have the actual link pop up first in a small window like it does in google spreadsheets (so you know where the link sends you before clicking it).

Remember custom colors for later reuse
Once I use a hex value for a single node, I would like to reuse it for other nodes. Currently I need to note down or memorize that hex value. It would be best if it showed up somewhere. Or perhaps simply implement a color picker and enable its use within the shift+space menu?

Automatic argument weighing
Add an automatically calculated weight number that can be represented by either numbers or thinner/thicker lines in that each reason makes the parent argument stronger by 1 point and each objection makes it weaker by 1 point. The sum is then added to the level above and so on, up to the root. The functionality this brings is, when the root is a question, negative numbers will mean a negative answer and positive numbers will mean a positive one. It's a way to make argument maps into decision maps automatically.

More Fonts
I'm currently disappointed with the limited amount of fonts available on MindMup, and I want to have a much richer selection of fonts. I'd like to see fonts like Courier New, Special Elite, Times New Roman, etc.
