What should we focus on next?
MindMup is community driven, so we’ll work on what our users want the most. For best results, please:
- Formulate ideas as work objectives (explain why, not just what/how). For example, ‘collaborate with friends remotely’ is much better than asking for ‘google realtime v2.0 integration’
- Do not submit stuff anonymously. We want to discuss your proposal with you if it gets votes, and anonymous submissions don’t allow us to do that. Ideas submitted anonymously will most likely be closed.

Possiblility to add a number to any given node which affect sort order of nodes on export
Possibility to add a number to any given node. If specified then the nodes on this level (with same parent), should be sorted in the HTML export, by this number. This way the creator of the MindMup could control in which order the nodes below any given parent is sorted.
An even better way to handle this, for more control and make it simpler to manage, is to mark any given parent in the MindMup and select the new menu: "sort order for export"
Then a list of the existing children for that particular node should be listet vertically, with…2 votes -
Possibility to add custom CSS for use when exporting to HTML file.
The idea is that the custom CSS is just added after existing CSS that is used by MindMap team, in the HTML file.
This could be implemented per MindMap, or stored per user. If possibility to store this per user, then maybe an option to override per MindMup would be nice. Mabye faster to implement if only per MindMup.
The reason I want this is that when I look at the existing font-size, colors etc (I added colors to some of my nodes) then the HTML file looked rather to colorful for my choise. Another ting is font-size, and different…

Freer movement of parents and chidlren
At the moment you are very limited in where you can place Parents and Children-Perhaps introduce a "free" mode where you can place the Parents and Children wherever you want without everything automatically altering

See color name on Shift-Space
When using Shift-Space to change a node's color, you should see the name of the original color. That would allow you to see the color, or copy & paste the color name.

Nodes TAG update!
Nodes.. I must write them everytime if the same! I suggest a way to modify one for modifying everyone! with the same "tag" so The "node" is updated! And If I wanna use It anywhere.. It will be displayed and I don't need to have a copy everytime with the risk to forget about updating one!!
(I'm not talking of numbers! measurements are good but doesn't show nodes, only numbers!)

Reorganize floating menu box 'Add children' etc top for android mobile devices!
- Place dedicated menu or menu 'Insert' - 'Add children, siblings, parents' top! It is the most used menu. Open menu box from node opens the top menu (Clipboard) automatically:-( The menu 'Add children etc.' is risky as the 'Delete' button just below and inappropriately touched lightly.
- Menu box opens under the hand = difficult to see choices. Any open in a horizontal menu OVER the node I touch?
I hope for a solution because it is too inconvenient to use MindMup on android devices compared to others.

Hotkeys sets (freemind/xmind/vim/etc) via Extensions for better user adoption and efficiency.
It will definitely help:
1) eliminate frustration of active users of other mindmap tools, resulting in better adoption
2) no need to chase, implement and fit together all those hotkey requests from different popular apps
3) could improve efficiency (hence popularity) with VIM like hotkey setsPlease add you ideas/comments!

Free *Offline* Exporting for >100kb
It's understandable why you'd have to pay for gold to do a lot of processing power on MindMup's server, but why can't I do the CPU load on my own PC for free?
11 votesBenjamin – as a response to “why”, it’s because we run exporters as dedicated server side processes, which wouldn’t run in the browser. Having said that, if this item becomes popular, we can look into migrating some of that into the browser.

I often use mindmup to keep research notes. It would be great if we could label each node with the source that it comes from, in some easy way.

2 votessorry for a delayed response, this has been working for a while but I’ve not noticed this uservoice task due to the low number of votes. Select View→Map theme→Top down and you’ll be able to create a vertical map.

Change Nodes into Different Shapes
I would love to be able to change the shape of the nodes from all rounded corner rectangles to include some regular squared off rectangles, perfect squares, circles, ovals, cloud shape, star shape, etc. for better organization and visual hierarchy or symbology - eg. the cloud reprsents a thought/idea and the square represents an actual fact.

Option to expand siblings one at a time
Helps when using the map to present ideas - collapse all, then bring up one sibling at a time - discuss - bring up the next one, etc

(Un)Fold Nodes Faster on Large Maps
On maps with dozens or more nodes, folding and unfolding nodes takes about 5 seconds. Seems like it's maybe checking all the child nodes, to see their fold/unfolded state and how much space they take up? Or all the nodes on the map? Either way, makes working with large maps difficult.
P.S.
Hopefully this isn't a duplicate. Couldn't find anything with various searches for "fold", "folding", "collapse", "collapsing", "faster", etc20 voteshi, can you please share some example maps with us (contact@mindmup.com) so we can speed them up. generally things should work fast, so you probably hit some edge case that we can fix.

Add node to storyboard with attachment
I use a nodes text attachment quite a lot, in two different ways.
- Usually, as the paragraph text in storyboards. That is, the node text is the title and the attachment is the body of the slide.
- Occasionally, as the speaker notes. That is, the node text is the slide, and the attachment appears on my computer.
Currently I have to do all this after exporting the slide. It would be nice to have an "Add with attachment as body" option in the node's context menu.
If the Powerpoint support is improved (or better, if Google Slides support is added!)…

The ability to save larger files for free
I love this program, it's great! I made a really big Mindmup that sums up all I need to study for my upcoming test, and I'd love to be able to print it out, but the file is too large.
For one Mindmup, I won't put much money into this, so it's a bit of a bummer that I can't save this as an image/PDF

Attachments: Tables and Edit image Size
Hey, great job with MindMup - I use it all the time!
I was wondering though if you have plans to enhance the text editor for attachments? it would be great to add tables to my notes and resize images. Just some basic functionality would be great. Any plans to do something like this?

Affinity Diagram View
I would like to see an Affinity Diagram view. This would show each branch off the main branch as a heading. This is useful for organization in brainstorming, but functionally equivalent to a mind map.
