What should we focus on next?
MindMup is community driven, so we’ll work on what our users want the most. For best results, please:
- Formulate ideas as work objectives (explain why, not just what/how). For example, ‘collaborate with friends remotely’ is much better than asking for ‘google realtime v2.0 integration’
- Do not submit stuff anonymously. We want to discuss your proposal with you if it gets votes, and anonymous submissions don’t allow us to do that. Ideas submitted anonymously will most likely be closed.

PDF file shall be able to be published directly into Google Drive
Currently, remote file format conversion (namely, to PDF) results 'secure' URL. However, an URL is easy to leak when you paste it to wrong place and not secure enough. As Mindmup has permission to create its own file to Google Drive (if I understand correctly) it should be able to push the converted PDF file directly (or indirectly via the browser) to Google Drive. It's much more secure.
3 votesif you’re on the google drive version of MindMup, exporting a PDF now shows a “upload to Drive” button at the end. You can use that to quickly send the file to Drive.

Change font size of a node
I want to be able to make some nodes bigger, kind of like headings, so they stand out. Someone else had requested this and it was marked as "completed", but I can't find any way to change the font size of a node.

Create closed loops
I would like to be able to create closed loops. For example, if my map included the Krebs cycle (which contains a closed loop) I would like to connect the "last" node of the loop (oxaloacetate) to the "first" node (citrate).
Along the same lines would include having multiple parents for a given node.

save svg online (option) as you do for PDF
Please give users option to save SVG to the AWS server. That way users can just share a link as opposed to download, attach, email the SVG. Thank you.

Multiple connections between parent and child nodes and arrows on first connection
I'd like a multiple connections between parent and child nodes for indicating a repeating cycle. One connection for the initial link and a second to indicate looping back to repeat a process. This is useful in mapping out processes where at the end, the flow should repeat to the parent. Our current context is in setting up a conversation map of a chatbot, we're reading back a set of articles and we'd like to offer the user an opportunity to repeat the list. That means repeat would point back to the parent node which is where the initial list narration…

Replace colors
Now I'm in a big map wanting to change all blue nodes to a different collor.. Too much of a pain without a color replacement feature. See in Adobe Illustrator, thay have it.

Adding links to Notes Section of a node
Notes section is allowing us to write text and even if we place an URL it is considering as a TEXT instead of hyper link. If will be a good idea to make it hyperlink so that while going through the text in notes we can place related urls for that topic. It will be helpful to provide reference while preparing any notes.

The edges between nodes in argument maps should visually distinguish supporting and opposing reasons not just by color, since many people are red-green colorblind.

align text inside nodes - right, left or centered
When I type text inside a node, it is centered per line. It would be a nice feature to allow right or left margin alignment as well, as this is a standard text editing feature.

Save editing history with the map for safe collaboration
When different people work on standard google doc documents, it is possible to see the last changes and document history and to restore previous document versions. It makes collaboration easier because changes are easy to see and safer because old versions can be restored and no information is lost.
I suggest that same functionality becomes available in mindmup.

The Ability to create mindmups in google team drive
Currently I am unable to create or move documents into team drive, I am only able to do this in My Drive. I would love to be able to do this.

Export ordered nodes (root/child/...) as simple text.

You can do this now with File→Download as→Outline, then select text as the format. CSV is problematic because nodes can contain commas, but you can use the tab separated text format

How do you find a file that is store in the public storage?
My computer crached and I need to find my mindmup. I didnt use a google loggin. I just reached it from my browser.

Add numbers to nodes of the same level (like numbered bullets in a Word document)
Add an option to add numbers to all sub nodes of a node, so they re-number when the node is moved. Possibly extend this to all nodes in the mup.
In the example below, if '2. Another Tree' is moved up, it becomes '1. Another Tree'. If '1.2. branch b' is moved up it becomes '1.1. branch b', and the twigs/leaf a become 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 & 1.1.2.1

Write text on links between nodes
Allow to write text on connections/links between two nodes (e.g. "implicates", "caused by", etc.)

2.0 Export to outline feature: prefix choices not clear.
I'd like to choose whether the outline has prefixes or not before exporting. Right now, after the export, your outline prefixes may be 1, 1.1 or nothing. It is not clear what choosing the number of headers does to your outline.

Speed up animations or add option to disable them
The animations for opening/collapsing nodes and moving them around are super slow. I would prefer if they were much faster (at most half or a quarter the duration they are now.)
I would also appreciate the option to disable the animations entirely.
