What should we focus on next?
MindMup is community driven, so we’ll work on what our users want the most. For best results, please:
- Formulate ideas as work objectives (explain why, not just what/how). For example, ‘collaborate with friends remotely’ is much better than asking for ‘google realtime v2.0 integration’
- Do not submit stuff anonymously. We want to discuss your proposal with you if it gets votes, and anonymous submissions don’t allow us to do that. Ideas submitted anonymously will most likely be closed.

Collapse some child nodes, but not all
I'd like the ability to collapse one or more child nodes, without collapsing all of them under the parent node.
It would be easier to focus on one area of a large map and also make the overall map faster.14 votes -
Need the ability to selectively print notes
I need the ability to print only the notes at or below the selected node. This would allow MindMup to become a powerful manuscript/proposal writing tool.
1 votewhile this is getting votes, there is a workaround — export the outline into word, tick checkboxes to include notes and tick the checkbox to start from a selected node.
outline exports support getting part of a map already, and also support including notes into the export. the only downside is that you will get titles in the export for nodes without any notes.

Need ability to "pin" a root node to a fixed location
Would love the ability to "pin" a root node to a fixed location...ideally to a location on the screen. That way I can use a root node to store reusable notes/content to be dragged and dropped into another map that may be very large. For example, a grant proposal or other large/complex document that when opened would force the "content" node off the canvas.

Search box as seen on learn-anything.xyz
Searching for "learning map" i stumbled upon learn-anything.xyz. They offer a very nice search box and smaller map views. For my students this would make life certainly easier.

When a network error occurs, enable 'Cancel' Please, please, please, this error is the bane of my working life!!!!!!
Whenever a network error occurs, the only option that appears is 'Retry'. I am in Asia, so this often occurs!! This basically stops the ability to do any work. If you could just enable to cancel the pop-up so I can continue working until the network problem resolves it would be a godsend. I love Mindmup but this problem is killing my work efficiency!!!

as a teacher i need would like to be able to evaluate and score the maps also add sticky notes directly without opening up a notes pane

Organize in my drive from mindmap the same way as in google drive.
please can you make the organization of the drive the same in Mindmap as in Google drive, it is confusing the way it is.

expand notes
I might just be missing how to do this but is there a way to expand the notes you add to a node so they are visible on the mind map. For example, to study different pharmacological therapies I would write the medication as a child node and then write addtl notes. It would be a great study tool to have one map with all of the different notes visible under each node (parent/child/sibling) and have another map with just the nodes visible (to practice filling in the information that was in the notes). Thanks!

To use it as a clip board. Being able to draw and write anywhere!
The idea of mind mapping is to clarify associations and relationships. That should need a lot of scribbling on various areas of the map. For example putting ideas according to layers of preference. The ability to then draw straight lines in between.

Ideas for customizing boxes and text
It would be great to introduce the following:
- left- or right-align text, it's centered be defualt now
- format text to bold or italics

It would be great if it was possible to generate a library of commonly used nodes. In my use case (attack trees) many times there are nodes that appear in almost all maps. If I could create a library of nodes, and place them on a new map for a new project it would save considerable time.
