What should we focus on next?
MindMup is community driven, so we’ll work on what our users want the most. For best results, please:
- Formulate ideas as work objectives (explain why, not just what/how). For example, ‘collaborate with friends remotely’ is much better than asking for ‘google realtime v2.0 integration’
- Do not submit stuff anonymously. We want to discuss your proposal with you if it gets votes, and anonymous submissions don’t allow us to do that. Ideas submitted anonymously will most likely be closed.

Icon support for links
When i link to wikipedia i'd like their icon to show next to my node. Or if it is an image to show an image icon. Youtube icon etc to provide some visual context on what is behind the link.
Thank you, i love what i see so far.

Link to jump to different node
Clicking a "link" button on the node jumps to a different node. Much like the anchor tags in HTML.
It would be really useful if I could do this by clicking specific text within the node. For instance, if the node said "Causes of shortness of breath: Asthma, CHF, Anemia, etc." I would like to click the text "asthma" and it jumps to the parent Asthma node somewhere else in the map and displays all it's siblings.

Provide alternative outline view
There are times when I visualize things as a hierarchical list and there are other times I'd visualize the tree graphically.
130 voteshi,
you can create an outline now by doing file→export to local disk→text (or html). the text export creates a tab separated outline, which you can load easily in excel. the html outline creates a doc that you can load in a browser or with word/similar text editors.
How is the proposal different from the current feature?

Floating keyboard shortcuts
Would be nice to be able to bring up the shortcut window on the same screen rather then a redirect to a page. Much like the floating menu window

Task management issues: notes, integration with GMail Tasks.
I am a fan of the notes and alerts features, using them for task management.
1) At this time exporting a Mindmup file to FreeMind results in lost notes. Please fix this.
2) FreePlane is the "new" FreeMind, with additional features in Time and Tasks management. Tighter integration of Mindmup with FreePlane would be very beneficial.
3) It would be great if Gmail tasks can be integrated with Mindmup to create an excellent visual task management environment. Thanks!20 votes -
support summary on nodes
Would like to support summary (using brace), which let me to put some comment/summary for a set of nodes
4 votesi’m not sure I understand this. Can you give us a more detailed example? Also, how would this be useful, what would that enable you to do with a map better?

Support Drag and Drop of Links onto Nodes, so I can add a link to a node by just dragging from another web page or from the address bar.
I often want to link a node to a web page and this would be a quick and easy way to do that (I know there are other ways already i.e. "attachements"). Not sure if current browsers support this type of operation, but if they do I would like this feature.

Assigned tasks with due dates integrated with Google tasks
Allow a node to be a true task and ideally integrate it with Google Tasks. If not that, create a list of tasks assigned to you as user with due dates and a listing by Map/Project and then a listing with all tasks.

chat window and/or comments in collaboration
Could we have a chat window incorporated into the collaboration sessions along with a way to add comments that stay with the session after it's closed (without adding a node) kind of like Google docs does now? I think this would improve the collaboration capabilities a lot!
57 voteswhat kind of comments would you like to leave? can you give us a few examples? how would that improve the collab capabilities?

Create a kind of highlight zone around a node
It could be nice to highlight a node and its children by creating a colored zone around the concerned node.

Possibility to freely place graphics or graphic elements on map
Would be great to be able to place graphic outline elements into the map. For example draw an outline around a group of nodes to create a different kind of more loose connection/grouping. Nice if such shapes could be colored too and placed behind the map.

Table Node
One feature I see in lots of other mind maps is a small table in the node, thus giving the user the ability to list longer lists of related information without having to create many extra nodes.
17 voteswe have the concept of attachments – where you an add lots of rich text stuff including tabular info. (http://blog.mindmup.com/p/working-with-attachments.html)
What would you get with table nodes that current attachment support doesn’t give you?

tags for nodes
tags could be used to see the connectivity and also search through the map

[Improvement of hyperlink in the "rich text attachment"]
** Current behavior **
In the rich text attachment editor
(1) make the part of the string be highlighted by dragging
(2) press the hyperlink button on the menu bar
(3) enter a URL
(4) press the Add button-->Result
Clickable URL is added to the top position of the attachment.
And the dragging part of string(1) becomes marked gray.** Proposal **
The highlighted part above of the string itself becomes clickable.9 votes -
import/export RDF
I think the Mind Map could be useful to represent some RDF graph as well, so it would be interesting to be able to import/export from/to RDF.

Evernote saving
Save notes to a notebook in evernote.
97 votesHi,
The new Atlas publishing option creates static HTML from mind maps, and you can then easily pull this into evernote. See http://discover.mindmup.com/atlas
Does this give you what you need, or is there something else that we need to consider regarding Evernote?
