MindMup is community driven, so we’ll work on what our users want the most. For best results, please:
- Formulate ideas as work objectives (explain why, not just what/how). For example, ‘collaborate with friends remotely’ is much better than asking for ‘google realtime v2.0 integration’
- Do not submit stuff anonymously. We want to discuss your proposal with you if it gets votes, and anonymous submissions don’t allow us to do that. Ideas submitted anonymously will most likely be closed.

Bullet points within a node
Being able to post a numbered or unordered list within a node would condense the graph and improve readability if users desire to do so

drill down
when im using mindmup online with google drive, when i try pasting the link of the sub map on a node, and when i click again, it just opens in another window, where i again have to open it using mindmup. a proper drill down is where everything happens in the same windows with ease of switching back and forth seamlessly. it is one feature mind maps absolutely need. people who dont think so are the one who havent used this feature, like on xmind.

Add a "duplicate" operation
I often wish to duplicate a connected set of nodes. If I select the
root node, then type control-c to copy and control-v to paste, the
duplicate is inserted as a child of the root node (and not disconnected
from the original set of nodes, as I would like).How about a "duplicate" feature that would copy the current selection and then paste it disconnected?
Alternatively, one might allow one to enter a state in which no node is selected (perhaps by pressing the 'escape' key). When in that state, any nodes pasted will be pasted disconnected.

nodes around parent node, instead of just on one side
It's annoying all the children nodes are on one side of the parent nodes. Ideally nodes are around the parent node for better visualisation when revising.

Add multiple documents as attachments to nodes
Add multiple documents as attachments to a node. Frequently there are documents supporting the information in the node, it would be great to attach the documents OR at minimum add a google docs link to a folder where the documents are stored.

embedded video and audio
currently you can insert video and audio links but you have to open new tab in browser and leave your mindmap
that's not user friendly!!
videos and audio have to be embedded inside, just like the inserted notes works. so that users won't leave the mindmap

Import outline
Would be great if I can import outline text (tabbed) and see them as mind map.
I'd like to import table of content of a book and then work with map. I think the outline import would be best in this scenario.

Auto resize node width:
Please find a way that makes it possible to automatically increase the node width to the exact width that will accommodate all content on one line. Dragging it open is a great plus but sometimes it takes 2 or 3 attempts before it's nice and tight. e.g. double click on the RHS of the node automatically re-sizes the node.

Import from Text or text documents.
Please, make a simple import from text like MindMeister does. Or tell me how I can generate a mindmap from a text file. Thanks for considering!

add support for animated gif
it would be cool if there would be support for animated gif
there are awesome animated icons which are very small in sizeMindmup currently does support it when you creating your mindmap
but when you publsh it, it won't be supportedI also suggest making very small library of animated icons of about 50 pixel in size

Word search from google
I create many mindmaps, it would be helpful if I can do Word search from google drive and it shows the maps which contain the keyword I type in google drive search

8 1/2 by 11 page margins prevents going to far to left or right
8 1/2" - 11" page sized map margins so as a student I can print out my notes rather than one giant infinite map.

add support for Image note!!
currently Mindmup does support attaching Images
but from my experience, it's only useful for icons of 50 pixels in size!
because large image would mess up the look of the mapso I suggest adding what I call "Image note"
when adding them, they would not appear on map, instead it would add a tiny interactive icon just like when adding noteswhen the user click on it, the Image would appear just the like the note would appear

Intelligent bulk colour changing
I would like the ability to set a colour for a node and then be able to 'ripple' that down through that nodes child nodes in gradients. For example, let's say node A is red, the immediate child nodes would be red but lighter, the next level lighter again, etc. and so on down the levels. The amount of gradient to apply at each level would be worked out by the number of levels under a node.
This would be useful when it comes to retro-actively colouring parts of the model to make it visually clear which group a child…8 votes -
Follow Connection Lines
On a big map it's difficult to follow connection line from one node to another. Would be helpful to be able to quickly navigate connected nodes from the selected one (like right-click menu 'Go to...' with the list of all connected nodes).

Integrate with Slack
Ability to share maps with distributed teams via Slack would be great than send emails. Currently, it posted as plain text which is not very helpful.
