collaborate without the need of google
Yope! I have seen that for collaborative use of mindmup, the use of google drive is mandatory. I want to ever get rid of google (i tend to that slowly actually), so would like to collaborate without google!
thanks!
MindMup Gold users can now collaborate without Google, using our storage. Check out https://www.mindmup.com/tutorials/mindmup-cloud.html for more information.

I really like MindMup but for many critical applications (corporate secrets and such) there must be a possibility to use own servers instead of Google's. You would not even necessarily need to write a server back end or such yourself. There are quite a few open source alternatives out there, but even if none of them satisfies the requirements of MindMup as a storage back end it would be very helpful if you could point here to the documentation of the requirements and protocol used. Then some storage project may take it from there.
Thank you very much for this wonderful software! -

Storing MindMup charts on an Owncloud server could be a solution. Thanks for looking into it!

Hi ! Wouldn't that be possible to use our own server to do so ? Hm, maybe the use of google is mandatory when the mindmup in run from 2 different servers, isn't it ?

Hm, I can see that it actually make a strong use of google and amazon whatever. Hm, if there is a way to have everything kinda independent of these monopoles, I'd use MindMup ! Have a nice day!
