Linking Google Drive files to nodes
It would be great to be able to link nodes with specific files on GDrive. This would dramatically improve collaboration on ideas with extensive information background and/or requesting collaborative document creation.
I could create a link to a specific shared document on my Drive and collaborators could open and read/edit it. I understand it is a matter of rights and IDs but it'd be a great leap forward.
this is now possible with mindmup 2.0 – adding an attachment opens a google drive picker, and the file preview will be shown when clicking on the paperclip after the files are linked to nodes.

Having come into MindMup only today I found it difficult and unwieldy to add links and even more difficult to make the words relevant. I would change this request to "Clean up the hyperlink insertion to be like other Google Docs"

You can already add links... I think what is missing is the UI to navigate from inside mindmup to the desired files in GDrive.

Can't you do this already with links in nodes? Google Drive files can already be shared with a URL, as long as it's set to be shared within Google Drive. You can then paste that URL in a node inside MindMup to link to the file.
