What should we focus on next?
MindMup is community driven, so we’ll work on what our users want the most. For best results, please:
- Formulate ideas as work objectives (explain why, not just what/how). For example, ‘collaborate with friends remotely’ is much better than asking for ‘google realtime v2.0 integration’
- Do not submit stuff anonymously. We want to discuss your proposal with you if it gets votes, and anonymous submissions don’t allow us to do that. Ideas submitted anonymously will most likely be closed.

Move the delete option further down the list of right click options.
Using tablets or touch screen, I found that my fingers touch the delete button quite often. The touch screen zoom doesn't seem to work to make the right click menu bigger or more user friendly. Please change the look and usability of right click menu for tablet of touch screen users.
2 votesmindmup 2.0 is much more touch friendly now, so buttons are more spread out, especially the popup ones. see mindmup 2.0 now supports multiple google drives. see http://blog.mindmup.com/2015/10/mindmup-20-is-now-ready.html for more info for more info

Collapse all sub/child nodes action (menu/hotkey)
Un/folding only current node in a large map takes lots of time and space.
In other mindmap tools it's very handy to fold all sub/childs and unfold them one by one when it's needed.
For now, one has to go through each individual child to fold/collapse them all.
It's a problem on a large map after import form another format (everything is expanded, overlaped and slow).5 votesyou can select multiple nodes easily using hotkeys:
- [ selects all children of the current node
- { selects the current node and all children
- number (1..9) selects all nodes on a particular levelthen you can press F to fold or unfold. For example, press 2 and F, and you’ll fold the large map into something much more usable. Then you can expand individual nodes as you want.

Turn a mindmap into a checkable checklist
I'd like to brainstorm with my group, and then be able to export the edited mind map to a shared checklist (something that can be checked off online, and visible to all). When the item has been completed, it can be checked off and get hidden or folded. This might be designed for use in the mind map, or in an exported format.
7 votesthis is already possible. see http://blog.mindmup.com/p/monitoring-progress.html
if I’ve misunderstood what you propose, please let me know how that is different from the progress monitoring at the moment

Customise connection looks
Now we have more connections to nodes than strictly hierarchical (yay!), it would be great to customise their looks. This way you can much better create a map (other than a tree), include webbed groups of nodes, or even 'hide' the inherent tree hierarchy the system imposes.
MindMup responded earlier that "If [connecting nodes] turns out to be useful and popular, we’ll probably extend it with arrows, line types etc." so here we go ask for it, because it sure is highly useful. I run into the issue nearly every time I use the tool. (Asking for a real reduction…
5 votesyou can now select line styles, colors and arrows for links between nodes — check out https://twitter.com/MindMup/status/904653423659900928 and https://twitter.com/MindMup/status/897087392846368768 for a demo

Index view and conversion tool for .docx and google docs
Be able to see the mindmap as an index view, with options for longer text underneath. Would be great when studying and cramming different subjects!
For example, a mindmap in index view would look like:
- root header -- sub header 1 -- Sub header 2 --- Notes under sub header 2, with a long text --- Sub-sub header 1 -- Sub header 3
The conversion should not be too hard, would it? Automatically converting headers to nodes and sub-nodes on a mindmap, and texts and lists to connect to these nodes.
29 votesyou can already do this as File→Export To Local Disk→Text (or HTML). This will create a tab-separated outline or a HTML doc outline. You can easily load the tab separated file into Excel, or the HTML into word, to see the outline.
If I misunderstood the suggestion, please let me know what you’d expect to see/work different from that.

Rotate the default direction of adding nodes
It would be great if one could rotate the direction of adding nodes.
Right now, it appears to go to the right as default, and adding to the left when available. How about adding downwards or upwards?
18 votesyou can use view→map theme→top down to get a downwards map now

Increase font size
Sometimes I want to save my mind map as a PDF so I can view it from anywhere or print it out. However, when I preview the image, the text is so small that it would be pointless to print it out. Please add this feature soon as it would be very beneficial in my studies.

Ability to have right angle connectors
the curvy connectors are good in that they avoid connectors being covered by nodes, however for me, right angle connectors would be even better as they would be clearer to quickly see the links and in general less distracting
11 votesUse view→map theme→simple to get almost rectangular connectors.

Concept Mapping Functionnalities
Mind map are great. Concepts maps are awesome.
This is more a purpose direction that a simple feature request.
The there is actually no tools to make free collaborative conept map online. None.
Functionnalities from a Mind Mapping software and a Concept mapping one is not very different. But we have to have the possibility to things just as :
- create floating node
- have a link tool between two distant nodes
- text on link bewteen nodes
- ability to have a non hierarchical behavior (all nodes are not parent or child, they can have a lot relationship)…
17 votesyou can now do pretty much everything needed for concept maps. we added the final touches today.

Support for copying and pasting nodes to ASCII/ HTML
Being able to select the top node of a tree and then pasting the content of that entire tree to ASCII or exporting just that piece as HTML would be super awesome. Please see video demonstrating desired behavior.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VUC8nDaubjE&list=UU93KRb7jaX9bT0XWMQHybRg4 votessorry for a delayed response, this has been supported for a while but I didn’t notice the uservoice task due to low number of votes. You should be able to copy a part of a map now just by selecting the root of the submap and using ctrl+c (or edit→copy from the browser menu) then paste it as text or html into any other program

creating mindmap in current working directory
When I create a new mind map it is always saved to the root of Google My Drive. It would be great if it created the .mup file in the current working directory when I click the create button.
9 votesmindmup 2.0 has better folder handling in Google drive, including creating in the current directory. see mindmup 2.0 now supports multiple google drives. see http://blog.mindmup.com/2015/10/mindmup-20-is-now-ready.html for more info for more info

add stock icons
add stock icons similar to what XMIND has. it's pretty useful to have icons such as 1,2,3,4 to identify priorities. Smileys and flags are also useful indicators. The workaround now is to upload the images as the icons.
323 votesStickers (standard icons) are now globally available to everyone. Check out https://www.mindmup.com/tutorials/stickers.html for more information on how to use this feature.

Ability to easily save maps with a custom file name
It would be great to be able to choose a different file name to save the map against, as my core node is often a question and can be quite long
18 votesmindmup 2.0 now allows you to set any name you want on a map. see http://blog.mindmup.com/2015/10/mindmup-20-is-now-ready.html for more info.

Adding bubbles by tapping once or twice on the display of a mobile.
automatically adding bubbles via tapping
1 voteMindMup for iOS devices is now available for general use – we’re taking the Beta marker off, because we finally ensured that users of the mobile app are as productive as when using the desktop app. It’s not implementing the idea as you suggested, but it makes it very easy to add nodes.

It would be great to have captions for the connect lines.
There are some situiations when the connection between nodes are not quite clear. It would be great to have apportunity to clearify it by the caption.

Collaboration doesn't work with Google 2-step verification
Realtime collaboration doesn't work when 2-step verification is enabled for a google account. All out teachers are using 2-step verification, so they can't share a mindmup in real time. They can participate, but not create a mindmup share.
How about fixing it? ;-)
2 votesmindmup 2.0 should work much better with google authentication. see mindmup 2.0 now supports multiple google drives. see http://blog.mindmup.com/2015/10/mindmup-20-is-now-ready.html for more info for more info

Add votes to nodes
I would like the ability to add votes to a node and have them visible when viewing the map (perhaps as dots).
This would be great as we're using MindMup for Impact Mapping. At the moment we add numbers to the node text to represent the votes as a workaround.
