What should we focus on next?
MindMup is community driven, so we’ll work on what our users want the most. For best results, please:
- Formulate ideas as work objectives (explain why, not just what/how). For example, ‘collaborate with friends remotely’ is much better than asking for ‘google realtime v2.0 integration’
- Do not submit stuff anonymously. We want to discuss your proposal with you if it gets votes, and anonymous submissions don’t allow us to do that. Ideas submitted anonymously will most likely be closed.

Set a backgroud image, allied to the possibility of repositioning the node, would make very good to create explanatory and theme maps.

Allow image insertion in nodes through in-built google image search
This is first half of idea already marked as completed. In this case I would like to have window when you may pick one of the images found in google image search based on the provided link or name of the current node.
I saw something like that in mindmeister.com.
Could like this:
1/ select node
2/ click add icon
3/ select option icon from google image search
4/ window with list of found pictures based on the words in node

How to change the parent node of a child to another existing node ? I am not talking about inserting a parent node. Connect didn't help .
Provide an option to change parent node of a child. Connect doesn't help. Inserting a new parent before the node doesn't help. I am talking of rearranging the nodes to create a new parent from the existing nodes.

Automatic colors of the children nodes
I would like to colorize the children nodes according to their parent, unless I specify the colo for the node myself. The color could fade into transparent, or white by some value in every level from parent. Example:
Node1 - red (specified by me)
Node1.1 - lighter red (not specified)
Node1.1.1 - more lighter red (not specified)
Node1.2 - green (specified)
Node1.2.1 - lighter green (not specified)
Node1.2.2 - brown (specified)
etc..the idea came up from bubbl.us but without color transition

Make notes for colors.
I would like to explain what does each color means in my mind map. It would be useful for making like separate groups (classes) or anything.

Enter Polish character "ś" instead of saving the map when pressing Alt+s
When using Polish keyboard layout, two Alt keys on keyboard work differently. The left one allows to use Alt+... shortcuts, while the right one allows to enter Polish special characters (like "ąęłńóś...").
However, when editing a node text in MindMup I press Alt+s using the right Alt, the map save action is triggered and my "ś" character is not entered. That makes creating maps in Polish troublesome.
10 votesthis should now work OK. I’ve tested on Chrome and Firefox on Windows 7. Please let us know if you still have issues with it.

Custom position of the node
I would like to set custom position of the node (for example, moving it when Ctrl is pressed) with opportunity to reset it to autopositioning.

Allow embeddable content on nodes (such as YouTube videos, images, soundcloud songs)
It's useful to have graphic content in a mindmap, for example, a Youtuber could use some youtube vídeos to get inspired in a brinstorm, a designer could add logo concepts and an artist could add soundcloud music.

Have a default icon sets for attaching to task
Hello,
Thanks for great products. It is super useful for me.
One feature that I love to have and use is instead of uploading the icon for node we can have a set of default icons for user to choose.One icon collection would be good for my case is font awesome http://fortawesome.github.io/Font-Awesome
Initial idea:
* Have another tab/section for choosing the default icon
* User click on the section and choose from the list of appropriate icon.
* Maybe later we can put the search function there.

Ability to start collaboration from an existing or previously created map
I created a mindmup, but am unable to invite collaborators to discuss and finalize.
(When clicking on Collaboration it wants me to start a new mindmup to discuss and finalize - can this be avoided?)3 votesif you’re working on an existing map, just start the collaboration from the collab extension, this should transfer the existing contents into the collaboration. if it’s not doing that, you found a bug and please let us know by sending an e-mail to contact@mindmup.com so we can troubleshoot

convert to powerpoint presentation
Export mindmap to PowerPoint presentation / Google Presentation with option to set which nodes are presentation sections, slides or bullets on a slide. E.g. all child nodes of a slide node become bullet points, all nodes of a section node are placed after a slide that contains the node text as the section title.

Allow comment along with attachment. So a quick detail about the node can be seen without opening the attachment.

Ability to copy/paste mind maps from difarent files in central one
I have several mind maps separated. I need to copy all of them in one mind map, and I want to copy/paste all content from all those maps in one new CENTRAL file

I would like to be able to attach many different file types on a node
Currently when I try to attach a file type of html or xlsx they do not save. I would like to be able to save a variety of file types including those listed to an attachment on a node.
