better interface for mobile devices
MindMup for iOS devices is now available for general use – we’re taking the Beta marker off, because we finally ensured that users of the mobile app are as productive as when using the desktop app.

I enjoy using MindMup as part of my work with a school district, and I want to use it personally as well, but it doesn't have an Android App, the focus on iOS and lack of Android App since 2015 lets me know, I'm not a priority user for you, so I should consider other mind-mapping apps and tools for my personal use that I would pay for.

To use MindMap in Android is IMPOSSIBLE! Using it in the browser is HORRIBLE. It's impossible even to create a node by pasting the text in the clipboard. The presentation in the browser of the phone is pathetic. In other words, MindMup is not for Android users! We NEED an App for Android!

It would have been very helpful to have an android app. I am using mindmup in my google drive but I am not able to see my map in android google chrome.

I tried 5 native android apps, and very marginal benefits to them, I still prefer your service. Frankly, I even use yours in my android browser.
However, I noticed since I am used to shortcuts in desktop, it works great IF I have my bluetooth keyboard connected. If not, its a bit more sensitive. Anyway, love the service.

With the new drawing engine, I can no longer drag and move around my map as the center node is always stuck in the center. I am noticing this particularly on a right side heavy map.

Hi Jerry,
re "Please incorporate ability to link to other mindmups, Automatic Cloud syncing and freemind compatibility." - all of that is already supported.
you can use google drive, github (and from early september Dropbox) for automatic cloud syncing. all MindMup maps have a unique URL - the current web page - so you can easily link to other MindMups by including the page URL of the target map in the node text - this will be turned into a link. Freemind import and export is already supported. Freemind files open directly from any supported source - use File->Open to load them from your local drive, github or google drive.
when voting on a proposal, please try to vote on the topic - this one is about mobile device interfaces, and has nothing to do with freemind, hyperlinks or cloud sync.

Double touch background to create a new node (child/parent/sibling based off a toggle or proximity/orientation to other nodes),
fullscreen view,
responsive toolbar - relocating to side/bottom when orientation of the device changes,
local storage save option,
email as attachment in the share/save options,
a button on the toolbar to toggle the keyboard (a hidden input somewhere) so we can use shortcuts with an onscreen keyboard (maybe with a different set of shortcuts?) -

touch rather than menu commands. Eg, Select node and then hold on an adjacent blank space popping up a menu to choose between creating a new child or sibling node.

Functional on Opera Mobile (Android tablet running Ics) would be nice.

I'd love to be able to use mindmup on my android 2.3 device, but for some reason the old Chrome and Dolphin HD browsers just show the toolbar and no mapping is seen or possible. To figure this out would be a great boon to me

This is a consolidated idea for mobile device improvements. There were plenty of ideas with a small number of votes touching different aspects of this, so I created a new one that is more general so it could get a higher number of votes. This would include
- a better touch-friendly command bar, possibly with larger buttons
- improved rendering performancewhat else would you like to see improved for mobile?
(btw, this idea doesn't include a native app. we're unlikely to be able to build a native app for any platform soon)
