Search within own mind map
Why: to find nodes within large mind maps. I have created mind maps with over 1000 nodes and the easiest way to navigate to the desired node is by searching.
You can now search for nodes in a map – just use ctrl/cmd+f – see http://blog.mindmup.com/2014/02/use-ctrlcmdf-to-search-maps.html for more info

I click search, type it in, nothing... it does not go to the node, hilite it... nothing. Without a good search function, this is tedious.

To use my Mind Maps as a knowledge base, it is essential for the attachment notes to be searchable.

search from central node to outside, I think automatic zoom it's not necessary

Developing a major need for this as my map gets larger and I can't recall if I've already added a similar idea somewhere else on the map

It would be good also if the search detected text within node attachments.

I think it would make sense to search from the root node outwards.

Search Node Attachment too.

Search attached notes, too. Not necessarily attached documents, but, I don't know what it's called, but when you can write up some text on a node by pressing 'a'.

I'd see it as top-down based on screen layout; and zooming in on the first matching particular node; clicking on 'next' in CTRL+F functionality results in zooming in the next matching particular node and so on...

we could implement something similar. what do you see as the order of searching - central node to outside or top-down based on screen layout? would you want to just see the matching nodes (and their parents) or zoom in on a matching particular node?

It would be cool to use the CTRL+F functionality of the browser to search and find items (even if they are not shown because of being collapsed)
