multi-selecting nodes for editing lay-out
WHY: it's a time saver when I can multi select several nodes or a group of nodes to edit lay-out (see also 'editing lay-out of nodes')
we now have a very easy way to automatically color a whole branch or a whole level, fold it, delete it, color it. You can read about it here: http://blog.mindmup.com/2013/06/we-now-suports-multi-select-and-group.html
Is this good enough for what you need, or is there something still missing?

To the MindMup developers, I have used mindmanager from https://www.mindjet.com/, and its program allows for a left click drag to select the nodes as example of select to then drag the nodes around for formatting and layout design. PLEASE TELL ME you have a way to Multi-Select Nodes and drag for easier layout.
MindManager is by far the most complete mind mapping tools, but it is too complex and detailed, and too expensive for me, plus they do not have Google Drive integration. I think MindMup is perfect for what I need it for since the main features that sold me included the Google Drive Intgr. and association of all Drive files, for my Concept Diagrams for my business.
I have dozens and dozens of nodes for Concept Diagrams and I really need multi-select nodes. I just never thought as advanced MindMups was and with the new developments that the feature is not available.... Please tell me you have a way but I'm missing it.

Nice... I like it a lot! Thanks
- using mouse (combination ALT/CTRL or SHIFT + MOUSECLICK to multi select) would be nice too
- moving multi-selected nodes would also be a nice featureI'm using your software for some weeks now (preparing demo's and using the map as presentation tool) and my audience is really impressed; it's also a big big time-saver (preparing and presenting my thoughts at once in one tool)... so: thank you very much for this awesome software!

Completely Agree with richard and hans. Although the ctrl+shift+v option is nice it can still be overly time consuming and inefficient. Furthermore, it would be nice to select multiple nodes to do other functions like move branches of your tree diagram elsewhere. Perhaps a drag-selector tool could be incorporated into toolbar?? Or perhaps you could hit shift + arrow keys to select multiple nodes and manipulate accordingly? Hopefully my suggestions require no further elucidation :)

I'm another user who wants to change the colour of groups of nodes.
It would be especially handy to have a "Select Node and its Descendants" operation.

@Joao Paiva: thanks! I didn't know/try that before; and it works fine (except from using the very first node to copy from)

Hans: Even though this does not solve the problem, you may be interested in knowing that mindmup supports "Paste Style only" with "Ctrl+Shift+V". So, you can copy a node and then paste its style on to other nodes fairly quickly.

e.g. coloring nodes: now I have to select them one by one and color them; it would be handy to multi select the nodes I want to color; and if more layout features would be available, the multi-select could be used there too: multi selecting nodes and choosing a font and font size... instead of doing it one by one

what would you want to do with the nodes when they are multi-selected?
