What should we focus on next?

MindMup is community driven, so we’ll work on what our users want the most. For best results, please:
- Formulate ideas as work objectives (explain why, not just what/how). For example, ‘collaborate with friends remotely’ is much better than asking for ‘google realtime v2.0 integration’
- Do not submit stuff anonymously. We want to discuss your proposal with you if it gets votes, and anonymous submissions don’t allow us to do that. Ideas submitted anonymously will most likely be closed.

  1. Add "twin" nodes.

Provide ability to add nodes which are connected or touching each other, "twins". This would be different from siblings as each sibling is separated from each other yet each twin can branch off with individual child nodes just like siblings. Twin nodes can better illustrate multiple thoughts or processes which are connected together or share common traits other than a parent thought.

  2. Make a stand alone Windows App or windows program since Google won't allow desk top apps in the future.

Make an App or program for windows environment for offline working since the Desktop app will be removed. That or allow for stoing directly on web to your OneDrive account.

  4. Tags

Tags could be used to sort and organize for the Storyboard. Have the Storyboard be created from tags.
I have many articles I want link throughout the slides. By having a tag for articles I could create a listing of all articles in the map.

  5. Add letters to hierarchical references in AM mode (e.g., 1.A.1, 1.A.2, 1.B.1) to facilitate discussing reasons

Reasons are groups of claims. Mindmup's argument mapping mode nicely groups claims that are part of a single reason visually. But it would make it much easier to discuss these reasons if one could refer to references to groups claims (e.g., 1.A or 1.B) rather than having to refer to a series of separately numbered claims.

  8. Need ability to "pin" a root node to a fixed location

Would love the ability to "pin" a root node to a fixed location...ideally to a location on the screen. That way I can use a root node to store reusable notes/content to be dragged and dropped into another map that may be very large. For example, a grant proposal or other large/complex document that when opened would force the "content" node off the canvas.

  9. Make Mindmup Gold functionality comparable to the Mindmup for Google Drive

As a gold user I feel let down by the experience as it compares to Mindmup for Google drive.

Mindmups in Google Drive are easy to find share and organise. Gold is much worse / barely comparable by comparison. There are no features.

I do not want to enter my bank card information in your website. I need to be able to use Paypal (or a more secure way of payment) instead. I'd subscribe right away if I could use Paypal...

  14. Offer a PDF of the keyboard shortcuts that can be easily printed out

I want to use mindmup much more often and much faster. The keyboard shortcuts exist but I want to have the offline and on paper so I can learn to use them easily.

  15. Have a mother test suite wherein "module" test suites can be appended just by putting the a node with that test suite node name

If I have a test suite (product level), I can create a node with the exact name of the parent node of another test suite (module 1) inside the product level test suite and when linked with the module 1, it automatically appends all the entire module 1 mindmup. With this, I can maintain the product level test suite without being redundant. I can make module level mindmups and easily maintain an entire test suite for the entire product

  16. Allow progress tracking across mindmups that belong to one product or release version

This would show progress across mindmups when we use them for different test cycles on different app build versions.

If I'm testing product ABC which will have different test cycles (1, 2, 3). I can see the improvement of the quality for product ABC based on the build versions we're testing

  18. Edit note color text

Hello, I'm opening a topic for a small change but which has always bothered me a bit.

Actually I use a lot the fact that I can put notes in a branch that shows up with the sidebar. What disturbs me is just the color of the light gray text. I think it's a pity that it's the only text color you can't change when it's the one where I put the most text personally.

This light gray is still very little used on the internet, I'm not saying that it's unreadable of course but for people who use a…
