I'd like to store my mindmaps in owncloud
... so I mindmaps could be easily shared without having to trust a third party provider like amazon.
unfortunately, giving up on this. not enough dev capacity.

Next to WebDAV for file access & sync, there also is a sharing API in ownCloud: https://github.com/owncloud/documentation/blob/stable6/developer_manual/core/ocs-share-api.rst
If you need more help, find us on IRC in #owncloud-dev (freenode network), or on our developer mailing list: http://mailman.owncloud.org/mailman/listinfo/devel

ownCloud simply uses WebDAV, files can be accessed through that. MindMup could simply sync to a »Mindmaps« subfolder.
Try it out on the demo: http://demo.owncloud.org/remote.php/webdav

External API...
external API inside ownCloud allows third party developers to access data provided by ownCloud apps.
