LaTex Math or equation editor
Some way of adding some basic math into our nodes

I'm a professor, and I have my students use MindMup in some of my classes. It is *so* close to being the perfect tool for what I need them to do. An equation editor of some sort (ideally MathJax or something similar) would really make it perfect for my purposes.

Math editor, or LATEX compatibility, or MathJAx implementation, or simply HTML tags recognition . . .PLEASE, give us something, any tool to enrich nodes content would be very appreciated for a large number of users!

Like Ivan Perevezentsev said below, MathJax is an option for easily implementing LaTeX on the web. I don't know what kind of API conflict there might be but I hope math support (either in LaTeX form or in keyboard shortcut form) is provided if possible for those of us who uses math extensively.

This would make MindMup the perfect mind mapping tool!

A very similar software call Docear has the function of LaTex in its MindMap. But is it not handy to use because that software is specialized for research document management. And the Customer experience interface under Linux/Ubuntu is not so good.
I hope MindMup can use LaTex. It is actually not that difficult. Simply use Markdown language and JMath like Ipython Notebook does.
