   hi,

   you can create an outline now by doing file→export to local disk→text (or html). the text export creates a tab separated outline, which you can load easily in excel. the html outline creates a doc that you can load in a browser or with word/similar text editors.

   How is the proposal different from the current feature?

   I agree with other commenters, that the outline feature in mindmup should work like it does in Inspiration, wherein you can toggle between map and outline view. I have upper elementary students using Google accounts however they must use Inspiration at school for it's ability to switch tw. map and outline view. I would like to suggest students use Mindmup such that they can work from home (vs. the school computer lab); however until there is this feature (toggle tw. map and outline view) we will be continuing to use Inspiration.
