Hi,
you can use shift+drag to pull nodes far or close (http://blog.mindmup.com/2013/09/use-shiftdrag-to-manually-position-nodes.html) – how is what yuo propose different from that?

An error occurred while saving the comment Ismael commentedYes! My nodes can get pretty big. It would be great if there is a way to make the nodes smaller. On Microsoft Word, for instance, you can make text boxes smaller by dragging them to the desired size. It would be phenomenal if I could choose the size of my nodes rather than the default which has a node as big as the many texts in the nodes and that displays all the texts. Please update.

As Marlin said, there is only so much freedom to where one can move the nodes. Additionally, other nodes often move and adjust when I move one node which is frustrating. I would love to have absolute freedom on where I place my nodes, and even the freedom to overlap it with other nodes. As it stands, nodes can only remain on one side of the vertical line and adjust other nodes when one is moved! Please fix :-)
