MindMup is community driven, so we’ll work on what our users want the most. For best results, please:
- Formulate ideas as work objectives (explain why, not just what/how). For example, ‘collaborate with friends remotely’ is much better than asking for ‘google realtime v2.0 integration’
- Do not submit stuff anonymously. We want to discuss your proposal with you if it gets votes, and anonymous submissions don’t allow us to do that. Ideas submitted anonymously will most likely be closed.

Possibility to link to an attachment in same/another MindMup from an attachment
I would like to see the possibility to make a link to another attchment in the same MindMup (or another Mindmup), from within an attachment.
In other words: Internal and external links to attachments.
This would make it possible for the reader of the MindMup to jump directly to (open) another attachment in the same or another MindMup.
If possible it would be nice if one could make it possible to link to a specific part of an attachment as well.
And at last, if possible to make the link open the linked attachment in a new browser-window (optionally) that…

Possiblility to add a number to any given node which affect sort order of nodes on export
Possibility to add a number to any given node. If specified then the nodes on this level (with same parent), should be sorted in the HTML export, by this number. This way the creator of the MindMup could control in which order the nodes below any given parent is sorted.
An even better way to handle this, for more control and make it simpler to manage, is to mark any given parent in the MindMup and select the new menu: "sort order for export"

Possibility to add custom CSS for use when exporting to HTML file.
The idea is that the custom CSS is just added after existing CSS that is used by MindMap team, in the HTML file.
This could be implemented per MindMap, or stored per user. If possibility to store this per user, then maybe an option to override per MindMup would be nice. Mabye faster to implement if only per MindMup.
The reason I want this is that when I look at the existing font-size, colors etc (I added colors to some of my nodes) then the HTML file looked rather to colorful for my choise. Another ting is font-size, and different…

Facilitate viewing different aspects
Facilitate assocation types - currently links are just lines having a style. I would like to be able to classify the association links (could be as simple as just allowing a label on the link, but that is probably a different concept from class of association).
I would then like to be able to hide / show links based on their classification.
I would also like to be able to arrange the graph as if a particular association classification was the parent/child (containment) link and the original containment link was treated as an association is treated now (no effect on…

Make it possible to associate a node with a collaborator's icon, and allow multiple collaborators to be associated with a node.

Nodes TAG update!
Nodes.. I must write them everytime if the same! I suggest a way to modify one for modifying everyone! with the same "tag" so The "node" is updated! And If I wanna use It anywhere.. It will be displayed and I don't need to have a copy everytime with the risk to forget about updating one!!
(I'm not talking of numbers! measurements are good but doesn't show nodes, only numbers!)

Attachments: Tables and Edit image Size
Hey, great job with MindMup - I use it all the time!
I was wondering though if you have plans to enhance the text editor for attachments? it would be great to add tables to my notes and resize images. Just some basic functionality would be great. Any plans to do something like this?

Hotkeys sets (freemind/xmind/vim/etc) via Extensions for better user adoption and efficiency.
It will definitely help:
1) eliminate frustration of active users of other mindmap tools, resulting in better adoption
2) no need to chase, implement and fit together all those hotkey requests from different popular apps
3) could improve efficiency (hence popularity) with VIM like hotkey setsPlease add you ideas/comments!

2 votessorry for a delayed response, this has been working for a while but I’ve not noticed this uservoice task due to the low number of votes. Select View→Map theme→Top down and you’ll be able to create a vertical map.

See color name on Shift-Space
When using Shift-Space to change a node's color, you should see the name of the original color. That would allow you to see the color, or copy & paste the color name.

Add node to storyboard with attachment
I use a nodes text attachment quite a lot, in two different ways.
- Usually, as the paragraph text in storyboards. That is, the node text is the title and the attachment is the body of the slide.
- Occasionally, as the speaker notes. That is, the node text is the slide, and the attachment appears on my computer.
Currently I have to do all this after exporting the slide. It would be nice to have an "Add with attachment as body" option in the node's context menu.
If the Powerpoint support is improved (or better, if Google Slides support is added!)…

The ability to save larger files for free
I love this program, it's great! I made a really big Mindmup that sums up all I need to study for my upcoming test, and I'd love to be able to print it out, but the file is too large.
For one Mindmup, I won't put much money into this, so it's a bit of a bummer that I can't save this as an image/PDF

Affinity Diagram View
I would like to see an Affinity Diagram view. This would show each branch off the main branch as a heading. This is useful for organization in brainstorming, but functionally equivalent to a mind map.

Option to expand siblings one at a time
Helps when using the map to present ideas - collapse all, then bring up one sibling at a time - discuss - bring up the next one, etc

Hiding the main lines
Sometimes, the main lines (between the central idea and the children) are useful at the begining of the process, but later other relationships (represented by dashed or solid lines) become much more significant. I think it would be very useful to be able to hide these lines, enhancing the visualization of the meaningful connections.

Is it possible to use mindmup desktop with firefox
It would be great if there was an app for Firefox that will work with offline maps and ready to export maps in image format.
33 voteshi – just noticed this one (sorry for a late reply, somehow it fell off my radar). what would you get from a firefox app that the existing chrome desktop app does not provide? I don’t mind supporting firefox if it’s something that is a blocker for people, but if it’s just duplicating the work that you can already do through chrome, we probably won’t be able to justify it.

Improved pinch and zoom with touch interface
Zooming using two fingers with a touch interface isnot working well. The mindmap moves off center as a zoom. This would be nice to have corrected.

lock nodes into labeled containers
I want to create templates that will allow users to reuse business tools. By allowing users to create labeled containers that would contain the nodes in a 'locked space' we can then begin to make use of the enormous number of graphical business tools available now.
