Custom color palettes
The current color palette is limited and not aesthetically pleasing. I'd love to be able to go to (for example) colourlovers.com and find a palette that I like, and apply that palette to my map.
A good start to this would be to add CSS classes for colors 1 - 35, eg: .mapjs-color-1, .mapjs-color-2, .mapjs-color-3, etc. The color chooser widget should then use these class names to apply the color instead of the explicit RGB code. Then I could grap the color codes from colourlovers and use that to create a new palette.

while this is getting votes, you can just press shift+space and type in a color name or enter the hex code to apply any color to a node, not just the ones in the palette

Using Shift + Space, I have no idea what are the names of the default color pallete. That's why, I do not use the feature using shift + space.
Any information of the names in the default color palettes?

Yes, it would be useful to have our favorite colors saved in the palette.
Working with custom colors in a team requires to have the hex codes somewhere else for team members to access. -

It would be neat if new child nodes default to the same colour as the parent node. That way whole branches could be coloured very easily as you add more nodes.

It would be great to have a feature that help to remind our favorites colors (already used in a map). Maybe it is another feature.

The current colour selection is poor. Having a pop-up of the 216 web colours would be a great improvement.
