This seems really really hard for them to implement. They'd have to be able to open any possible file you can attach, and know how to perform a text search within it. What if you had a picture attached that didn't have the ".png" file extension (for example)? What if it were an MS Word document (it's a big business for a website other than Microsoft to be able to even open MS Word documents properly since it's so difficult).

This sounds like it would be better handled with something like an option to download all attachments with one click, so a user that needs to do something like this can download all the files and use some local computer tool to search all the files, figure out which file contains what they're looking for, and then find which node(s) have that attached.

I'm voting for this, but specifically, need to search within NOTES. Hopefully this development can be done in a way that includes both. I expect that searching NOTES will actually be a lot easier than attachments, since they're just native text.

I find using node attachments prevents the map getting too big and confusing. This missing feature would be gold!

There is no way to search within a file.mup in GDrive too.

If you need to search within the mind map (text attachments), you have to download the file and search through your computer.

It's so slow, non-functional and boring ...

I didn't find another way to search within the text attachments, please, if anyone knows please tell me :)
