Work Offline
Now that work on an offline chrome app has been killed, I'll restart a new item for simply working offline (as I don't care if it's through a Chrome App or not). Mindmeister has this feature.
Specifically I need to, at least, be able to view and edit maps offline. It would be nice to be able to create new ones.
there is a full offline app now available as well: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/mindmup-desktop-free-mind/eealagocaipaflcjmeapmobpmilffopi

This has really not been completed.
You should have written "as long as you load mindmup in the browser WHILE YOU ARE ONLINE FIRST and keep it open while you are offline."
But the issue is that I want to be able to open a mindmup file when I'm in the subway or at cafe that doesn't have working internet that day. I don't want to have to remember earlier that day to keep a chrome tab open for that purpose.
What you have is only half of a solution to the 'Work Offline' problem.

Key considerations of mindmap tools of choice are that I can run offline or online, on android and windows - I can do this with Mindomo.
I know this is a web based open-source project, yet wouldn't simply providing standalone HTML5 apps be super easy?
Windows - Adobe Air or Chrome App?
Android - http://www.appsgeyser.com/? Or similiar? It seems the offline functionality is already there, as above, if there was simply a standalone 'container' for the HTML 5 content.
P.s. upon 'create application shortcut' in chrome it's crashed multiple times.
