Allow the "Insert Parent" button to function with root nodes
After trying for a while to add a parent nodes to a group of roots, I eventually found I could add a new root and drag the old roots onto it in order to convert them to child nodes. It would have been more intuitive to simply click one and insert a parent node.

I second this. This would be really helpful in argument visualization mode especially. If I'm mapping an argument, I might add nodes for premises/supporting reasons first, and then add a node for the conclusion. Currently, the only way to map this if I do it in this order is to make disconnected nodes and then drag them. It would be great if I could select one or more nodes and them simply click something (or even better, have a hotkey!) to make a new node that is the parent/conclusion of those nodes.
