Link between two mindmups
I would like to get a simple link working between a node in parent mindmup to a different mindmup, where we can further mindmap that topic. Helps in delving\organising the mindmaps
sorry just noticed this — linking between mindmups existed straight from the start — each map has a unique URL, and you can just paste that URL into a node in another map to create a link.

I will help to create greater mindmaps that are too large, and separate them into logical maps

this would be great!!! How to vote for this improvement?! my vote is YES!! The Only problem is that we need to able to create a infrastructure within folders, so that the links dont break apart. But would be nice. :D

deep linking should be supported (linking to specific node).
an implementation idea - when clicking on link to another mmap; collapse the current one down as much as possible and then open new mmap while still showing the link and the collapsed old mmap (link could be of different style) -

Hi Stephen, I have just tested putting a link from a child map to a parent map (I put the link to the parent map into the "root" node of the child node) and it works ok - however, the "link" to the parent map opens another copy of the parent map. Not an ideal solution. So, I agree with you. For the implementation of the idea do you think that: if we had the ability to "insert a map" in a similar way to inserting a node - with a unique symbol/shape for the node that allows the link to the child map and in the child map an automatic link set up in the "root" node of the child map, to the parent map?

Bill,
Unless I'm missing something in your April 9, 2016 suggestion this doesn't solve the underlying problem. That is, if I am in a child node, I cannot get back to the parent. If I have someone looking at child 1 of the mind map (because it's more efficient to send a link to the thing they need to work) they can't get back to the parent to look at the rest of the thought bubble.
If it's too expensive to have that back linkage to the parent, is it possible to give properties or the ability to add a note to the entire MindMup so we can put that kind of information into the Mup?
Thanks

Whilst the previous suggestion is true - you can accomplish this already by using the "Attach File" tool as well as cutting and pasting the url. Indeed if you look at my comment on "Merge two "MindMups" to one" - you will see that you can create a whole hierarchy of MindMups.

Whilst this can be accomplished by cutting and pasting the URL of the "other map" into a node - thus allowing one to simply click on it to gain access to the other map, it seems that the suggestion made would bring a more intuitive way of accomplishing this request.
