What should we focus on next?
MindMup is community driven, so we’ll work on what our users want the most. For best results, please:
- Formulate ideas as work objectives (explain why, not just what/how). For example, ‘collaborate with friends remotely’ is much better than asking for ‘google realtime v2.0 integration’
- Do not submit stuff anonymously. We want to discuss your proposal with you if it gets votes, and anonymous submissions don’t allow us to do that. Ideas submitted anonymously will most likely be closed.

Find nodes by stickers
When using stickers as tags, like parked, flagged, important, etc.. in a big mindmap I would like to be able to locate them fast so that we can focus on those.

Create Rapid Brainstorming List
Recently a couple of other mind-mapping apps have added a feature that helps with getting your ideas out rapidly. It involves a text book for inputting text and when you hit enter the text is added to the list of previously entered ideas. When you're satisfied that you've flushed out your ideas, you can then drag the listed items onto the mind-map as nodes.

iPad, Chrome, and Apple's Scribble
Chrome and iPad work okay, but there's an issue with inputting text. Currently input is limited to the keyboard. Adding the ability to use the Apple pencil along with Scribble would make brainstorming fantastic.

Inherit parent styling for child nodes
Child nodes should inherit styling (background and text) from parent nodes. This would save a lot of time having to go back and reformat.

Lock a Node , so it cannot be deleted.
I am trying to use the Mindmup collaborative, but I need to lock some nods, so they won't be accidentally deleted or moved. Is there already a way to do so? If not, I would say this is highly important and should be considered to be incorporated into the app.

Create node from table
Hi Team
It is great to know and apply Mindmup. The app is very smart and useful.
- I just want to add 1 more function: table import, export or visualize Why should we have this function: Mindmup is the best app to brainstorm and discuss. But after that our team always have to export it as text, and then manually put it into table for presentation and storage (For ex: excel file). With large app, it is really cost a lot of time for admin task.
Thank you for your support

Text formatting in notes
There should be additional formatting options in the notes section because it is very finnicky having to add Asterisks for Bullet Points and add numbers manually. You also should be able to change the font in the notes section because users should be able to choose what kind of font fits their style and not have to solely rely on the only font available in the notes section.

Recognisable form in word documents (such as google docs) (Importing docs/word format recognised)
Current situation:
I write up what I want to mind map into a word document (Google docs or word), and then write up this in a mind map
Amendment:
A structure or table that mind map can recognise, be copied in and will automatically generate a mind map
Advantages:
Ideas can be written down the first time into an acceptable format, and mind map is just re expressing in a more visual way. It would save so much time, and be really awesome
Why can I not just write straight into mind map:
Safe copy in word first, more flexible…3 votes -
Basic drawing and annotation features
It would be really useful to be able to draw custom elements, shapes etc onto the background, or type annotations around nodes and lines.
An example would be, so that I can use lines to divide the map into sections, each section of which can home nodes that belong to a specific category or group.
Or to be able to create little doodles around nodes to make them more visually interesting/accessible.

Have nodes branch off in any direction including above or below parent
Currently, I can only place a child node to the left or right of its parent.
I then have to commit to branching off in that direction.
For my purposes, it would be useful to branch off in different directions including directly above or below the parent node.3 votes -
Flow chart functionality
With some simple additional features, MindMup could be used to create flow charts. IMO, this would expand the usefulness of the software immensely.

Different types and styles of connecting lines
The one way arrow is a bit limiting for my purposes.
Could there be two way arrows?
Different styles of line other than straight and dotted?
Text that follows the path of a line to add clarification to a connection?
Textured lines?
Lines that can split and fork off to multiple nodes?3 votes -
Manually bend connecting lines
Sometimes if the map is a particularly busy one with lots of connections, some of the connecting lines aren't easy to spot at a glance, as they go behind other nodes.
Sometimes this can make it look like there are connections between things that there are not.
The ability to manually bend connecting lines would mean being able to detour around nodes that are in it's path, to make the connections clearer.2 votes -
Set pre-defined styles for nodes
Rather than having to change colour, font and size for each node individually, to be able to define a style by name, and then attribute that style to any node in one click.
This would really improve workflow.

Abliity to resize Status icons + %
They are really too big, and gives % progression for "in progress"

If i am not wrong, it takes half of my screen and not way to make it smaller

Enhanced "Connect to another node"
Either allow "Connect to another node" to have bi-directional arrows showing mutually dependent premises, or offer a non-arrowed node connecting line.

Straight line connectors
Straight lines would help with listing points leading on to each other below each node.

Multiple notes per node -and- text along connections
I want to use this software to plan assignments, what would be really helpful is allowing multiple notes per node (around 10+ would work) in order to input possible quotes and evidence for the point made in the node. And to be able to put text along the connections, for connecting statements for better flow in assignments. Honestly, if it had these features I would subscribe in a heartbeat. Please vote. Thanks.
