What should we focus on next?
MindMup is community driven, so we’ll work on what our users want the most. For best results, please:
- Formulate ideas as work objectives (explain why, not just what/how). For example, ‘collaborate with friends remotely’ is much better than asking for ‘google realtime v2.0 integration’
- Do not submit stuff anonymously. We want to discuss your proposal with you if it gets votes, and anonymous submissions don’t allow us to do that. Ideas submitted anonymously will most likely be closed.

superscripting - for maths
For example if the map was to do with FACTORISATION then superscripting would clearly be needed

nodes around parent node, instead of just on one side
It's annoying all the children nodes are on one side of the parent nodes. Ideally nodes are around the parent node for better visualisation when revising.

Scale sections of mind map to fill areas of any selected paper size
It would be great if we could easily scale sections of a mind map in order to optimize the space of any paper size allowing the text size to be as large as possible. Right now I am ending up with wasted space and print too small to read.

Compatibility with Grammarly
I love the new notes functionality in Mindmup 2.0! Recently I've been using the Grammarly Chrome plugin for checking my spelling and grammar, unfortunately it doesn't seem to work with notes in MindMup, it will recommend changes but by clicking into Grammarly it deactivates the notes window so any changes through Grammarly are instantly lost. This isn't a major bugbear, but it does make writing long text sections less convenient.
Many thanks

Nested tagging. Use sidebars. 1.To list & arrange tags 2.Click on tag(s) to see and rearrange nodes in this view only
Ha. Didn't realise I'd get to describe. Basically, I'd like to use taking to create another layer of node organisation. So, my map has ToDo items arranged by project, but i can tag for "who's responsible" and "when" and "where". One node can have multiple tags. Nested tag hierarchy can be seen/adjusted in a sidebar. Click on tag to view nodes in another sidebar and, ideally, be able to move around the sequence (for better planning) in the sidebar without affecting their position on the map.
Example: "Meet with vendor mgr" node is tagged, "Wed" "Sue" "City Arena". See all…

integrate google calendar
Allow users to insert a date/calendar entry into MindMup that syncs with google calendar. That way, when a user sees the calendar entry in the calendar they can click on the file and open the attached mindmup.

This would make it much easier to work on one branch.

lasso select
Let click+drag form a "lasso" by which multiple nodes can selected (like in virtually all file managers and other applications).
Moving could go to Ctrl+drag or so.

Full Node attachment support for iOS app
Fully Supporting attachments for the iOS app would be extremely useful, especially in situations where users do not have access to an Internet connection or to specific web services, such as when they happen to be in China where Google and many other internet based services are blocked witout a working VPN. Even if users import a mindmup mind map containing attachments to the iOS app, the icons for attachments appear, but they cannot be viewed. Not very user friendly to offer icons for features that can't be used.
Currently the app is more like a mind map prototyper, lacking…

refcount for connections
When 2 Nodes are connected using the connect tool, and the referer is folded than the connection is not visible and one can not tell, if one node is referenced.
Also see 9888885 "Unfold other related nodes".Proposal: get a reference counter for nodes and either higlight referenced node or use measure-field to display reference count.
This may be similar to 11320635 "Provide a visual indicator that a node has a note".2 votes -
Export to BPMN2 function.
BPMN can be a little daunting for people who are not familiar with it. -though it's dead logical- people don't pick up tools they are scared of. It's a sure step up from Mindmup (e.g.: conditional workflows, triggered automation etc...). But Mindmup could fill the gap for junior collaborators! Colleagues around the company could be invited to write out basic process maps using Mindmup (with freedom to append notes and images or URLs); the maps would then be exported into BPMN2 by quality / business process managers to refine them and integrate them to IT systems. All of this originated…

Hotkey to split node at cursor position
The goal: while editing the contents of a node, press a hotkey combination and all text or content after the blinking cursor would be instantly cut into a new sibling node directly under the current node.
How is it helpful:
Instantly split up large nodes into smaller nodes without selecting, cutting, creating new node, and pasting.
Reorganize nodes that became too large as you were writing and flushing out an idea.
Reorganize nodes after realizing that contents are better expressed/organized as children or siblings.
Chopping up pasted information and quickly organizing the important bits while deleting the garbage.
I primarily…

Merge two "MindMups" to one
Being able to merge another MindMup as a child or sibling to your own "MindMup" will allow people to work on their own part (sibling or child) of a bigger project, and the project manager can be able to put all "sub-mups" (child and siblings) together to a complete project MindMup.
An alternative to merging MindMup's would be making it possible to assign a "child" or a "sibling" to a collaborator and that the only prt of a bigger project he can edit and develop.99 votes
