What should we focus on next?
MindMup is community driven, so we’ll work on what our users want the most. For best results, please:
- Formulate ideas as work objectives (explain why, not just what/how). For example, ‘collaborate with friends remotely’ is much better than asking for ‘google realtime v2.0 integration’
- Do not submit stuff anonymously. We want to discuss your proposal with you if it gets votes, and anonymous submissions don’t allow us to do that. Ideas submitted anonymously will most likely be closed.

2.0 Export to outline feature: prefix choices not clear.
I'd like to choose whether the outline has prefixes or not before exporting. Right now, after the export, your outline prefixes may be 1, 1.1 or nothing. It is not clear what choosing the number of headers does to your outline.

Fix realtime collaboration in mind
Fix realtime collaboration on mindmup 2. We cannot usr the tool as when another user edits all changes done by another are lost! This is a total show stopper for us for using mindmup 2.

Collaboration for Gold users is now supported in MindMup Cloud storage (this works since 1st of March 2018).

Provide a visual indicator that a node has a note (as opposed to the paperclip which shows an attached file)
MindMup 1.0 showed an attached note as a paperclip. When opening a MindMup 2.0 there is no longer a visual clue on the node that it has a note

4 votessorry for a delayed response, I just noticed this as it didn’t get joined up with a much more popular request for the same feature. this has been possible for a while, you’ll find a button to add a disconnected node at the start of the toolbar now.

Add the ability to rotate or change the orientation of the mind map
Going from right to left at times takes away the perspective from the map.....enabling vertical orientation will provide much more flexibility and creativity to the maps. Also optimise the use of screen space.

Drag a 'bubble' from an existing node to create a new one from it!
Similar to Mindmapfree.com. It is so easy to use.

A link should have a human readable name displayed.
And internally point to a location.
These are two types of data that should be separately editable.6 votesyou can already do this. just type in a link title and the URL in the node (eg Google https://www.google.com) and the hyperlink will become a clickable icon, the node will only show the text

Create child nodes via copy and paste of text with line breaks
I would love to be able to create a whole batch of child nodes by copying and pasting information separated by a line break.

Currently, the only way I can import a batch is via a Freemind map.

Every 'layer' of bubble is a different color.

Redefine the central node
The forced hierarchy from the first node makes it difficult to understand the relationships between subnodes. What if the first node later turns out not to be the 'central' idea and another node should be the central idea? How can we change the layout of the map to reflect this?

uploading images using new mindmup
Hi mindmup-thanks for the awesome content-hope you guys are prospering. So I notice in the new update I have to save images to dropbox or google drive before I can upload them to the map. In the previous version it was so much easier-all I had to do was select the image from my desktop.
1 voteupload image already works in 2.0. Click on the image tool, this should launch the drive photo picker, just look at the last tab in the picker – you can upload an image there and immediately use it in mindmup, in the same step.
dropbox will not be supported in the drive version of 2.0. it’s specific to drive. if we ever decide to do a dropbox 2.0 version, it will have that integrated.

Have measurements in mindmup 2.0
I cannot find the measurements window in MU 2.0. We like the same functionality from 1.0 to be part of 2.0.

hide toggle compact layout-
hi i think mindmup is awesome! I've recently tried out the new update and I'd really like it if it were possible to hide the new toolbar (the one with "insert child node"etc.). In the previous version there was no tool bar at the top and I prefer it like this.

Having the possibility to add detached blocks
Adding blocks not connected to the main idea but floating anywhere the users want to put in on the screen. By extension it would be interesting to create more that one tree on one page.

Make collaboration easier by better integration with the Google Docs collaboration tools
Presently it is a bit combersome to collaborate with the collaboration extension. It would be so nice if it could just work like with Google Docs: everybody who has permission can edit simultaniously.
One of the MindMup explanation pages states it nicely this way: "We have lots of interesting ideas for improving the collaboration workflow, and the end-game, we hope, is completely merging collaboration into normal google drive maps, so that collaboration requires no specific set-up or extension loading, and that collaborative maps no longer have the limits imposed by the Google Realtime API (10MB limit per map). Add option to select folder when saving to Google drive
I LOVE MindMup, but I have an issue. I'm a heavy Google Drive user, and I have a custom folder-structure, where I dont just store things into root.
Therefore I'd really need some sort of option to select what folder to save my MindMup onto Google drive. Or alternatively some workaround.. :-)

3 voteswith mindmup 2 for drive (https://drive.mindmup.com), folder support works similar to google apps. you can create a file directly in a folder from the drive web app, and you can move a map easily to a folder from within the mindmup app.
