What should we focus on next?
MindMup is community driven, so we’ll work on what our users want the most. For best results, please:
- Formulate ideas as work objectives (explain why, not just what/how). For example, ‘collaborate with friends remotely’ is much better than asking for ‘google realtime v2.0 integration’
- Do not submit stuff anonymously. We want to discuss your proposal with you if it gets votes, and anonymous submissions don’t allow us to do that. Ideas submitted anonymously will most likely be closed.

Rapid node creation
Next to "Insert Child Node" button add "Insert Multiple Child Nodes". When clicked, display a modal text area.. On click of OK on modal, create a node for each line in the text area. Similar request to: "Create Rapid Brainstorming List" ...but simpler: no drag-and-drop needed.. This would both speed creation of maps, and help guide planning / brainstorming: "For X, what are all the things we'd need to consider?" Select node X, type a list, and have the nodes added. Then repeat for additional nodes as needed.

Print only a root node and subtree
When we have several maps within a single file, it would be cool have the posibility of select one of all root nodes and print it alone into a single pdf, displaying print window like whole map print buttom does.

Text formatting in notes
There should be additional formatting options in the notes section because it is very finnicky having to add Asterisks for Bullet Points and add numbers manually. You also should be able to change the font in the notes section because users should be able to choose what kind of font fits their style and not have to solely rely on the only font available in the notes section.

Set pre-defined styles for nodes
Rather than having to change colour, font and size for each node individually, to be able to define a style by name, and then attribute that style to any node in one click.
This would really improve workflow.

Have the option to disable auto save
Have the option to disable auto save to cloud for when some of my clients systems don't allow it so that I can save to device and import from device

Change progress status by right-clicking node
Instead of having to go to "view -> sidebar -> show progress" every time I want to update the progress of a node, it would be great if a button for it could be added to the right-click menu for nodes, similar to "edit notes", "edit node", etc. I know that I can leave the progress sidebar open, but that's pretty cumbersome with larger maps.
Thanks for a great project and taking in our ideas!

Link to jump to another node in the same map
I want to be able to create a link directly to a node, so I can easily navigate large maps. Now we can link nodes with a line, but it quickly becomes messy if we have many connections. It would be great if we could just jump to another part of the map

Share by link only (without automatic email)
Using this in a classroom setting, I often want to set up a collaboration ahead of time but to initiate the collaboration at a specific time. So if there were a way to turn off the automatic email when sharing privileges are granted, that would be great. (I haven't used it, but it seems like this would behave a lot like the Crowd Link option, but it would be happening within a MindMup Gold team account...and not cost extra :-))

Create node from table
Hi Team
It is great to know and apply Mindmup. The app is very smart and useful.
- I just want to add 1 more function: table import, export or visualize Why should we have this function: Mindmup is the best app to brainstorm and discuss. But after that our team always have to export it as text, and then manually put it into table for presentation and storage (For ex: excel file). With large app, it is really cost a lot of time for admin task.
Thank you for your support

Find nodes by stickers
When using stickers as tags, like parked, flagged, important, etc.. in a big mindmap I would like to be able to locate them fast so that we can focus on those.

Create Rapid Brainstorming List
Recently a couple of other mind-mapping apps have added a feature that helps with getting your ideas out rapidly. It involves a text book for inputting text and when you hit enter the text is added to the list of previously entered ideas. When you're satisfied that you've flushed out your ideas, you can then drag the listed items onto the mind-map as nodes.

iPad, Chrome, and Apple's Scribble
Chrome and iPad work okay, but there's an issue with inputting text. Currently input is limited to the keyboard. Adding the ability to use the Apple pencil along with Scribble would make brainstorming fantastic.

If i am not wrong, it takes half of my screen and not way to make it smaller

Ability to resize image by dragging
I would love to be able to quickly change the size of an image node by dragging the corners. Having to manually change the size by typing in the amount of pixels is a bit too time consuming, especially when one is working with a lot of images.

Lock a Node , so it cannot be deleted.
I am trying to use the Mindmup collaborative, but I need to lock some nods, so they won't be accidentally deleted or moved. Is there already a way to do so? If not, I would say this is highly important and should be considered to be incorporated into the app.

Flow chart functionality
With some simple additional features, MindMup could be used to create flow charts. IMO, this would expand the usefulness of the software immensely.

Different types and styles of connecting lines
The one way arrow is a bit limiting for my purposes.
Could there be two way arrows?
Different styles of line other than straight and dotted?
Text that follows the path of a line to add clarification to a connection?
Textured lines?
Lines that can split and fork off to multiple nodes?3 votes -
Manually bend connecting lines
Sometimes if the map is a particularly busy one with lots of connections, some of the connecting lines aren't easy to spot at a glance, as they go behind other nodes.
Sometimes this can make it look like there are connections between things that there are not.
The ability to manually bend connecting lines would mean being able to detour around nodes that are in it's path, to make the connections clearer.2 votes -
To change the colour of text in Notes (to be better visible)
Text in the Note panel is light blue and shadow. It is very uncomfortable for eyes because of worse visibility. I suggest to change the colour of text in Notes panel (or to offer the possibility of colour´s election at least) to be better visible.
Mind mup is my lovely work tool - thank you very much!
