What should we focus on next?
MindMup is community driven, so we’ll work on what our users want the most. For best results, please:
- Formulate ideas as work objectives (explain why, not just what/how). For example, ‘collaborate with friends remotely’ is much better than asking for ‘google realtime v2.0 integration’
- Do not submit stuff anonymously. We want to discuss your proposal with you if it gets votes, and anonymous submissions don’t allow us to do that. Ideas submitted anonymously will most likely be closed.

apply node style changes to multiple nodes
I would like to be able to select multiple nodes and change the styles of all the selected nodes at once, instead of having to change them one at a time. It would also be helpful to be able to create my own named style instead of having to click through the 4 or 5 steps that are now required. Thanks.

Node Attachment View
I already commented on some other idea in this forum with this, but I think this is really important. Many mind mapping tools are using so called notes view (node attachment in mindmup), but they are all doing it wrong. Maybe you think this is a bold statement, but with 15+ years of mindmapping experience I can assure you that notes (mindmup attachments) are integral part of any mindmapping/writing creative process. Drag and drop all selected nodes
Currently, when multiple nodes are selected and dragged on another node, only one of the selected nodes is moved.
It would be better to be able to move all of the selected nodes to the destination node at the same time (like with Freemind)44 voteswhile this is in voting, you can use ctrl+x and ctrl+v to cut+paste all selected nodes to a new parent

Import an other MindMup project in a node.
If it's a big project sometimes we create a lot of Mindmup files. Then if we want a unique Mindmup for the entire project it would be a great feature to integrate all the MindMup files in that new MindMup as new nodes. Here every nodes would be a MindMup files that we could extand with the shortcut "/" .
So the main interest is that in one file we got the entire project !42 votes -

Read mindmap with google spreadsheet
I would like to be able to edit a mindmap and read all of the "directory paths" from a google sheet. For example:
Column A:
Grandparent
Grandparent/Parent
Grandparent/Parent/Child
Grandparent/ParentSibling
Grandparent/ParentSibling/Child
etc.
The use case here is that I would like to be able to use this list in autocomplete validation, so a row in a spreadsheet could refer to a particular position in a taxonomy that is easily editable as a mindmap.41 votes -
Ideas for customizing boxes and text
It would be great to introduce the following:
- left- or right-align text, it's centered be defualt now
- format text to bold or italics

Add multiple documents as attachments to nodes
Add multiple documents as attachments to a node. Frequently there are documents supporting the information in the node, it would be great to attach the documents OR at minimum add a google docs link to a folder where the documents are stored.

Search any text, not just node title
Currently it's only possible to search within node titles.
As pointed out in this request: https://mindmup.uservoice.com/forums/200447-what-should-we-focus-on-next/suggestions/15831034-search-within-notes-not-just-node-titles it would also be good to be able to search within the Notes, otherwise it significantly reduces the usefulness of the notes.It's currently possible to add text to arrows/links right now too. Being able to search the text added to the arrows and links is also important.
The general rule should be that if text can be directly added in the tool, it should be searchable.

Stop userAgent sniffing and use feature detection
Currently your site does userAgent sniffing on page load, which is a web anti-pattern (see https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTTP/Browser_detection_using_the_user_agent, https://css-tricks.com/browser-detection-is-bad/, https://www.sitepoint.com/why-browser-sniffing-stinks/ and plenty of other resources). After all, a user can just override the user agent string.
Instead you should use feature detection to either shim when a feature is unavailable or then block until that browser supports the feature.
For the record - the app works fine in Edge with a userAgent that tells you it's actually Chrome.

Having the possibility to Copy and Paste detached images instead of browsing
The current problem is that we have to browse images from our folders and attach the images to nodes. I would like to be able to Copy and Paste images from Google onto a random place on the mind map. This will be more easier because we wouldn't have to adjust the size of the image and we will e able to freely move them around the mind map.

Reorganize floating menu box 'Add children' etc top for android mobile devices!
- Place dedicated menu or menu 'Insert' - 'Add children, siblings, parents' top! It is the most used menu. Open menu box from node opens the top menu (Clipboard) automatically:-( The menu 'Add children etc.' is risky as the 'Delete' button just below and inappropriately touched lightly.
- Menu box opens under the hand = difficult to see choices. Any open in a horizontal menu OVER the node I touch?
I hope for a solution because it is too inconvenient to use MindMup on android devices compared to others.

Please extend the search to text within node attachments
It seems we can only search the nodes but not the text attachments. It is difficult for us to use mindmup as a note taking or collecting tools because we cannot easily search those note recorded in the attachment before. Can you help?

add a reminder to a node
Allow users to add a reminder or a date to a node, which will pop up on this date or is visible in a list or will send a reminder via e-mail.

layers
Incorporate the possibility of layers.
E.g. the same root node could have different children on different layers. [They could remain visible by having different levels of transparency (probably a max of 3 layers for clarity here?)] Thus the same root node could be explored in different contexts represented by the layers themselves.
One example (obviously users can create their own use-metaphors) might be that the root node represents a 'cause' with child nodes representing 'effects'. Different layers could show the effects of the root node "cause", given differing contexts- i.e. the cause has different effects in differing environments. However -…

Is it possible to use mindmup desktop with firefox
It would be great if there was an app for Firefox that will work with offline maps and ready to export maps in image format.
33 voteshi – just noticed this one (sorry for a late reply, somehow it fell off my radar). what would you get from a firefox app that the existing chrome desktop app does not provide? I don’t mind supporting firefox if it’s something that is a blocker for people, but if it’s just duplicating the work that you can already do through chrome, we probably won’t be able to justify it.
